I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Radisson in Port Canaveral the night before departing for a cruise. I have to say, it wasn't the greatest experience I've ever had in a hotel, but it really did make my trip easier. The hotel itself was nothing to write home about, especially for the price. The rooms were pretty basic, and I have to say they were not all that well kept. We ordered room service for breakfast the morning we left, and it would have been quicker and more efficient for me to walk next door and bring the food back myself. When our food finally arrived, they forgot to bring us silverware to eat it with. By the server returned, the food was cold. However, all we got in return was an ""I'm sorry about that, we're really busy."" \r
On the flip side, we did enjoy our time the night before at the outdoor bar enjoying the weather and pool area. The free shuttle service was also a plus, as we were able to see other areas of the city and have a free ride at our fingertips. The best part was having access to a free, efficient ride to the port terminal the day of our cruise. This was handled very well, and made our departure go very smooth.\r
Overall, this hotel did not impress me too much, but I would recommend it if you are staying in the area the night before a cruise. Otherwise, I would probably look elsewhere.
Pros: Great access to the port, free shuttle service
Cons: outdoor room access, not really well kept
