I'm not too happy because I feel taken advantage of. Heard my AC buzzing early on a Saturday morning so called Radiant. Was told that because it was "off hours" that a $159 trip...

Editorial review from Citysearch 5/27/2013

Absolutely excellent service for my 70+ year old home. Marcel from Radiant went above and beyond in the job of removing all the old galvanized pipe and replacing it with a much simpler layout of polymer pipe. New water heater, new sewer lift pump also... all in two days. I couldn't be happier! more

Great Company! 11/7/2011

My husband heard their advertisement about free toilet flappers so I called. Woody came out to replace it and helped with another problem we were having. Of course I was just waiting for him to sell me something but he didn't. I would definitely call them if we have any plumbing issues! more

Couldn't be more pleased! 10/8/2010

My hot water heater sprung a gushing leak and I called Radiant Plumbing out to fix it. Turns out my hot water heater was 22 years old and in need of a replacement. I went ahead with the replacement and they got it done right there in the same day! The guys were all very professional and friendly, and answered all my questions about the install. I enjoyed them so much, I had them replace my toilet while they were there as well. Hot showers and happy flushes in this house! I really could not be more pleased with their service. more

$40 for an estimate so high??? 3/29/2010

Kitchen faucets!!! I knew what I needed and they still have to come for an estimate?? Since I had no idea they were going to give me a really high estimate I said ok. Guy came and I said -what???!!!- $600 ish for what??? oh that's including the service agreement, if you don't want the service agreement then it will be $460. Oh what a difference, really?? So I asked how long is it going to take you, he said 1 1/2 hr. Who makes $460 in 1 1/2 hrs???? Go figure!!! too bad there's no option for zero stars! Pros: they have a web page, hahaha Cons: 5 minutes and no shame on walking away with $40!!! more

Good Decent Plumbing Company 9/13/2009

I recently bought a new home and needed a lot of plumbing work. Still do. I called several plumbing companies and I had a local company come out initially and felt I was taken for a ride. I got charged a lot for things I felt should have been really inexpensive. Finally I called Radiant Plumbing because I was able to see who would be coming into my home, on thier website they show their staff. This was important to me. I called on a Tuesday evening late, I had a leak from the water softner. They came to my home that very next morning. I was impressed. Initially I did not have them do the work, but had them return to do the work. Both times, they sent Woody, I requested he come the next time to do the actual work. Radiant did a lot of juggling to ensure Woody could meet my schedule. He was professional, coutesy and I felt very comfortable with him in the house. He was fair on the pricing, explained and walked through the issues with me. I will definitely call Radiant Plumbing again and will always request Woody. In fact I have told co-workers about Radiant Plumbing. They are nice folks to work with and always call to follow up and send thank you cards. This is very rare anymore. Thank you. more

AMAZING! 8/25/2009

I received a bid from another plumber for over $3000. The other plumber told me that, in order to fix my problem, I needed to replace all of my 1940 vintage pipes. Based on CItysearch reviews, I called Radiant. Steven told me that , in his opinion, replacing certain pipes would remedy the problem. He was right. It works fantastic and he saved me over $2500. I would not use anyone else! Pros: Honest, Prompt, Courteous Cons: NONE more

Great Job! Very Professional 7/20/2009

Steve Crane at Radiant Plumbing came to my house at 8:30 AM on Friday, July 17, 2009 and within an hour had the leak outside of my home diagnosed and repaired by noon. Pros: As good as it gets! Cons: none more

Expensive, may have left me dry on purpose 6/30/2009

I'm pretty mad at them right now. I had my water pressure regulator go out on Wednesday so I call them on Thursday morning to tell them that my water pressure regulator went out and I have no water pressure and the faucet just dribbles. They say they’ll be out Friday morning, then cancel because the plumber had a family emergency and reschedule for Monday morning. Monday, he gets out there and tells me that it will cost $439 to replace! Says that it will cost so much because the part is so expensive! I pay him $39 for the visit and get the part I need today from Home Depot for $29…. I can’t help but wonder if he made me squirm all weekend with no water for laundry, dishes, ect. just so I’d be more likely to accept that ridiculous price. Pros: Nice looking van Cons: Ridiculous price more

Wonderful and helpful employee 6/16/2009

R.J came to my house for some minor repairs in the bathroom . He was professional and kind . Could'nt ask for more! Pros: good work Cons: none more

$200+ / HR for labor. I dont think so. 6/5/2009

I'm sorry but $200+ Hr for quote by plumber "maybe 2 hrs of labor" is way too much, even with their coupon. Payed the BS dispatch fee and wont be calling them back. Pros: Polite Cons: Price more

Great service, very responsive 5/23/2009

Had an issue with my hot water heater (needed to be replaced) and with my home warranty company not being able to find someone to go into my attic. No problem for Radiant. Andrew worked with me by quickly diagnosing the problem, providing some options to replace AND speaking with my home warranty company to ensure the repairs were fully covered. That's great service! more

Great Service, a little pricey 5/1/2009

I called today to get a plumber out and the dispatcher informed me that they would call 30 minutes prior to the tech's arrival. The call came in and the tech was here within 30 min. J.R. was very informative, excellent customer service and did his job in a timely manner. I was very pleased. Cedar Park, Texas Pros: Great Customer Service Cons: Pricey more

Be Careful...Get other estimates! 4/17/2009

I had a very bad experience with Radiant's plumber Jason (see below) but Brad, the owner really worked with me to get it solved and gave me half my money back for all of my trouble. but it was still two months of drama, I wish hadn't happened. They moved the water heater to the opposite side of the house (where it should have been in the first place) And there will forever be a silicone rectangle on the other side of the house...because I have a historic home that they dont make the same shingles for anymore... : ( ***if you want a tankless you might want to check out 'Austin Texas Water Heaters'. They are actually the ones who figured out the correct spot for my tankless. And they seem to charge less. ORIGINAL POST: In a nutshell I was just charged $5800 to install a Rinaii tankless water heater and when I got it professionally inspected by a TX inspector ( at my own expense) I learned it had 2 code violations, one of them being very major and I have no idea how they are going to solve it... I'm upset with myself for not doing much research and being trusting, but Radiant seems to charge 2X the amount other companies charge...and that money doesnt go to better service/plumbing knowledge...it goes to their advertising campaigns. Jason really didnt seem to know much about the water heater. I am really kicking myself for not getting other estimates. DONT trust their friendly appearances, these master plumbers are just sales people with some plumbing skills. Your job will actually be done by someone else. Pros: easy to reach on phone/ customer service seems to care Cons: very expensive and you wont get a price breakdown more

Work they actually did was acceptable but price was not 2/24/2009

I called Radiant right after Christmas due to a leaking kitchen faucet issue. After the plumber arrived and told us we needed a new faucet, I asked him to give us a bid to cover a number of plumbing problems (replace the kitchen faucet, clean out two master bathroom faucets that weren't flowing properly, and fix a leaking tub faucet stem). Bid seemed a little high but not out of the question for 4 different projects, so we agreed that he would come back in a few weeks to do the work. (We had to special order the new kitchen faucet, which took several weeks to receive from Costco). When we scheduled an appointment to finally get the work done in January, Radiant sends out a different plumber. This plumber replaces the kitchen faucet in about an hour. But with regard to other jobs, he tells us the leaking tub faucet doesn't need fixing. Also he is only able to unplug one of the master bathroom faucets that wasn't flowing properly, and says he can't fix the other one because it is too stuck. Fair enough I guess. But then I ask him how much less the bill is going to be since he had only completed half the jobs we had discussed. His answer was to reduce the total bill by only a small amount. He claims the shower faucet job he didn't do represented only a minimal portion of the entire bill and that unplugging the master bathroom faucets was a "freebie" for us in their bid. I argued with him but because I never got an itemized bid from them before they started the job, I didn't have much room to argue. That was my mistake and I paid for it. Nevertheless, I won't be using them again. If you do, I strongly recommend that you get a fully itemized bid from them before you authorize them to do any work. more

When you hire Radiant Plumbing, you are hiring an awesome plumber. If we wouldn't want them over to our house for dinner, they don't work here, period.
