I called Radiant right after Christmas due to a leaking kitchen faucet issue. After the plumber arrived and told us we needed a new faucet, I asked him to give us a bid to cover a number of plumbing problems (replace the kitchen faucet, clean out two master bathroom faucets that weren't flowing properly, and fix a leaking tub faucet stem). Bid seemed a little high but not out of the question for 4 different projects, so we agreed that he would come back in a few weeks to do the work. (We had to special order the new kitchen faucet, which took several weeks to receive from Costco). When we scheduled an appointment to finally get the work done in January, Radiant sends out a different plumber. This plumber replaces the kitchen faucet in about an hour. But with regard to other jobs, he tells us the leaking tub faucet doesn't need fixing. Also he is only able to unplug one of the master bathroom faucets that wasn't flowing properly, and says he can't fix the other one because it is too stuck. Fair enough I guess. But then I ask him how much less the bill is going to be since he had only completed half the jobs we had discussed. His answer was to reduce the total bill by only a small amount. He claims the shower faucet job he didn't do represented only a minimal portion of the entire bill and that unplugging the master bathroom faucets was a "freebie" for us in their bid. I argued with him but because I never got an itemized bid from them before they started the job, I didn't have much room to argue. That was my mistake and I paid for it. Nevertheless, I won't be using them again. If you do, I strongly recommend that you get a fully itemized bid from them before you authorize them to do any work.
