Rack Room Shoes

If an item that you purchase has even the slightest ding on it, they will out right refuse to return or exchange the merchandise, even when within the 30-day period, which in this day and age is unheard of. Basically, if you shop there, be 100% sure that what you are getting is definitely a keeper, and don't even think to put it on (and check before you buy to make sure there are no preexisting conditions), or else you will be stuck with the item. I am looking in to disputing the situation with my credit card company so that they don't get paid :). The policy on the back of the receipt is very vague. Will never shop here again, and am making a point to let everyone I possibly can know about Rack Room's horrible policy. ANY other store in the mall or outside of the mall has a better policy than this store. more

This Rack Room Shoes store is a great place to find a wide selection of affordable shoes; however it is a terrible place for returns. Once I tried to return a pair of shoes that were not worn. I purchased the shoes two days prior, and had the original receipt. However, the salesperson would not accept my return, claiming the shoes appeared worn (there was a scratch on the bottom). The staff was rude and inattentive – for better service visit the Rack Room across the street at Greenbrier Mall – they accepted my return hassle free. more
