The owner?s name of the R & S branch in Richmond is Jim. I had a broken steel garage door in my commercial building. Jim gave me a fairly reasonable estimate. Unfortunately I forget to ask him for a time estimate for completing the job. After I signed the contract it took Jim FORTY DAYS to install the new door! BUT THIS WAS NOT ALL! The installers that Jim had sent to do the work they were not that experienced, they messed up the electronic door opener, Jim joined his crew to correct the problem, but he could not fix the electronic unit, and they left me with a broken electronic unit! I had to hire another firm to fix the electronic door opener! Jim was one of the most difficult people that I have ever done business with. more

Quality Service 2/7/2009

Our double-garage door was sliding off-track so we called R&S. The staff was nice and scheduled our appointment for the next afternoon. They arrived on time for the appointment. It only took the tech about ten minutes to figure out the issue. He cleaned the sensor lenses and changed some springs and we were old to go. He was courteous, professional, and quick! I appreciate that he didn't try to sell me additional, unneeded services. Though, when I did inquire about new doors, he gave me a lot of information on our options for the double door and the single door. more

Great Service 11/17/2005

I hired the staff at R&S Erection to change one of my springs to my garage door. One of them broke I guess because of old age or no use. The staff was friendly and it only took them an hour to fix it. The price was reasonable so I got both springs changed to avoid any furture problems. more
