Worst

RJ would not answer my calls (I assume he knows how to call block) after completing my job. In less than 60 days after he supposedly 'repaired' my sprinklers, they quit working.....

Poor workmanship, still waiting after 6 months for resolution to installation of improper variety of grass (not what we ordered and contracted for) not appropriate for sun. No show for meeting and not answering attempt to contact for resolution, even though he promised to correct his admitted mistakes/problems. more

Fantastic and Fast 4/13/2012

RJ came out and listened to our ideas and needs. He then showed us expanded ideas and landscape concepts that we didn't know were even possible. He helped us develop a project budget allowing us to use a masterplan that unfolded in 3 phase. His design was superb! His team came out ahead of schedule and completed our project effectively and in a timely manner -ahead of scheduled completion. We entertain a great deal and all of our guests compliment us on our landscaping and our outdoor living space (kitchen and sitting areas). We are happy beyond words and have already retained them for a project at our place of business. Thank you to RJ and his team of professionals for all of your hard work and thoughtfulness. more

Breathtaking! 9/26/2011

One of the most pleasant experiences we had this year was the opportunity to both find and work with R.J. Howell Landscaping. His firm is without doubt one of the premier landscapers in the Tampa Bay area. R. J. is not only professional and courteous in his approach, but has a unique talent for developing beautiful landscape designs. Our lawn and landscaping before R. J.'s arrival was extremely dull and lifeless and we were a little embarrassed as compared to our neighbors. After R.J. and his talented crew finished a new design for both the front and back yards, we are not only extremely pleased, but have become the envy of the neighbood! more

RJ's sprinkler repair scam 5/5/2010

RJ would not answer my calls (I assume he knows how to call block) after completing my job. In less than 60 days after he supposedly 'repaired' my sprinklers, they quit working...since RJ would not answer my calls I resorted to using another contractor who stated the valves RJ supposedly replaced with new valves were 'ancient'.....RJ scammed me for over $500 for this bait and switch....beware...I caught RJ several times trying to use less expensive materials than what the contract called for.... Pros: smoother talker Cons: scam more

Great Landscaping 6/8/2009

RJ suggested a design that would compliment a small area in my patio. While working during a very rainy period, he managed his crew in very effectively and completed the job perfectly. Pros: Outstanding design and attention to detail more
