LUG NUT PROBLEM!!!! 5/23/2011

So I was just surfing the net and I came across the previous reviewers posting about the lug nuts and I almost messed myself. About 3 years ago I had a new tire put on my car. I left and drove home (i live in providence but my parents paid for the tire and live in Narragansett). I work in Boston and when i would take 95 north through Pawtucket (S-Curves) I started hearing this noise from the front of the car. I was broke so I just let it be. As a few days passed the noise got louder and louder until I thought something was going to explode or snap. I was on 93 near Boston and got off the highway and stopped at Dorchester Tire. The guy put my car up on the lift and then asked me to come take a look. There was only 1 lug nut on the front tire (The one I had replaced the previous Saturday) and it was less than a turn from coming completely off. I called A Quick and they told me.... [get ready for this..... I'd sit down too]...... They told me someone must have attempted to steal my factory rims. I lived in an apartment building with security and parked in a parking garage in Boston. I WAS BULLSH*T. I tell EVERYONE I know not to go there as do my parents and their friends. Plus any of the folks that rent beach houses all summer. They suck - maybe they should change their name to ""A Little More Careful"". more

Left 3 lug nuts off my wheel 12/22/2010

Went in for a new tire, they brought it into the garage in no time, but it took forever for these people to mount a single tire. but, i'm a patient person so i didn't mind the wait. what i did mind was later on when i hit the highway hearing a terrible BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP so i pull over, and discover that 3 lug nuts were basically hanging by a thread on my left front tire! Not only were they loose, but that wasn't even the tire i told them to change (changed the right rear) Don't think i'm ever going back, they may have good service, but it doesn't matter if they don't have enough effort or common sense to put your car back together right. more

I live in Richmond and I was on my way to the airport, when my tire blew out, luckly I was near quick tires. I explained to the staff that I had to be at the airport in an hour and a half to catch a flight. Well I was out in 20 mins. with a reepaired tire...that was great service. I will do all my business there. more

Terrible Service 7/31/2010

I brought my car in and i was givin an estimate for $1300 told them to do the work. 3 days later i picked up my car and drove home and my car died. I called and spoke to the owner Cindy she told me i'll have to give the car back at my cost for the tow. They looked at my car again and gave me an estimate for $1000. I pulled my car out and brought it to another garage and found out it would only be $100 the $1300 job was ment to fix the problem im having now. I'll never return back. The owner is rude and has no sense in cars. Think about going there- what will it cost you? Cons: terrbile attitude towards employess and the service is bad more

Great service at A Quick Tire 4/25/2010

I called these people on a friday afternoon hoping to get tires put on my sports car within a week. (The tires in question are not an item usually in stock at most tire shops.) The friendly clerk gave me information about different brands and styles of tires suitable for the car. After researching the choices online, I was there the next morning, and was back on the road with a nice set of Falkens for my 500SL. The folks at A Quick are not only knowledgeable and service oriented, but they don't pressure you into making a quick decision. Pros: Honest, Friendly, Quality work, Good prices. more

Not many like it 2/25/2010

Came in to the shop because my tire was losing air. Talking to the manager I could tell she cared about my individual case. They took my car back and found a huge piece of glass in my tire, they even showed it to me. I didn't know glass could do that to a tire. After the repair, they told me of other things I should keep an eye on in the near future regarding my car. They didn't pressure me to get them fixed there and then, just made me aware of what could potentially go wrong in the future. In speaking with the manager I found this was a family owned business from the start...not many of those around anymore Pros: they care about you...and your car Cons: none more

Great service 2/21/2010

Im new to the area and I needed some service work my family has been going there for years. I found the staff to be friendly, funny and professional. I do not know much about cars, but they showed me everything that was wrong with my car and they performed the work fast. I could not believe the amount of people that they took care of while I was there that day and all left with smiles. I have to say they live up to there name, but maybe they should add honest to there name. Thanks guys you have a new customer for life Pros: experience, customer service Cons: non more

You can get your registration again right? 9/9/2009

I dropped off my car for a state inspection right before my trip to oklahoma. I had an agreement with a friend to pick it up. When I came back I found out that my car needed some repair in order to get passed. My father and I did the maintenance work and I came back for the re-inspection. They checked it out and called me 30 minutes before closing. When I got there they told me that they couldn't give me stickers because I had no registration in the car. I said well the repair invoice was the only thing my friend gave me and I asked if they had a spot for misc/lost documents. The owner, of whom I was talking to, said no without batting an eyelash. I called up my friend and he said he only received that invoice. So I asked her again if she had one or heard of a registration lying around because I have no clue. I asked her what I could do and she told me to go to the DMV to get my registration again. While I am talking to her and thinking that coming back from vacation was a bad idea one man went beyond and checked a pile of documents and said my information followed by ""... your registration is right here stapled to the sheet."" I was so thankful that a person helped me out. The owner WOULDN""T! I said ""ok, you have my registration. Where's my stickers?"" The owner woman said ""It's too close to closing you'll have to come back."" You better believe I won't be coming back after I get my vehicle or anyone else I talk to. There the Best 5/4/2008

I bring my car there all the time and I have spent thousands of dollars. My family has there car serviced there too. We love the great service, the woman who owns the place is warm, friendly and very knowledgable. The rest of the staff treats me very well....keep up the great work...thank you more

Unfortunate 3/3/2008

The manager went so fas as to say someone must have taken my car, damaged it and brought it back in time for the oil change! The cost of doing business locally should not be like this!
