Quick Muffler

Qick Muffler-Franklin Tn, will never go back there or recommend this place. We relied on the owners expertise .Explained what I wanted, the sound I wanted and he told me he knew exactly what the kind of muffler needed. The muffler they put was so loud I could not hear my radio in the car nor talk on car phone, my wife actually wound up with an earache from the loud noise riding in the car. The muffler sound was not what I wanted nor asked to be put on the car. I wanted something that had a mellow tone. my wife even said like a glass pack muffler little bit of a rumble but mellow. . When they drove the car out after the installation of the new muffler my wife was very upset and we both told him and the mechanic it was way too loud was not what we had told him we wanted, The mechanic did not say anything to us.He knew we were both not pleased with the loudness..It was now about 5 pm the man or owner whoever he was told us to drive the car home and come back the next day if we did not like it. He would put something back on and that should tone the sound of the muffler down. That did not tone the sound of the muffler down at all. it was still way too loud, still not the sound I was wanting for my car muffler. . It hurt your ears riding in our car. Told him to remove the new muffler he had installed completely and put our original muffler and parts back on.. He charged me $400.00 for the muffler that he had recommended and the installations and told me I could probably sell the muffler he had recommended on Craigslist for $150.00 . that he could not take the muffler back because it was now considered used.We totally relied on his expertise and recommendation for the kind of muffler we wanted for our car and his recommendation was totally wrong, it was not what we asked for or wanted. It sounded like our car had a large hole in the muffler or no muffler at all. My wife and I are both in our late 70s , not hot roders.. there is no way we would want that kind of noise maker on our new car... I feel he should give our money back . I should pay and did pay to have the muffler put on and taken off but I should not have been charged for the muffler that I did not want or ask for. Will be contacting Better Business or a lawyer. more

Thanks Guys! I really appreciate the great converter and exhaust job you just did on my '03 Infiniti.You did it right and you did it fast getting me up and running in no time. I see why you call it Quick Muffler! You even replaced the tips with some that looked even better than the originals. And not only all that you saved me big bucks from what I was quoted elsewhere including the dealer which was more than double! Thanks again for a super experience in both quality work at a price I could handle and your courteous service. I really liked how clear Tim and Max were answering my questions. I highly recommend this shop to everyone I know. See you first from now on when my car needs anything! more

Last year the building at CCC became available and we took it because we needed the extra space. If we had tried to hide it we would not have our guys working at both shops. OF COURSE THE PRICES ARE THE SAME, WE ARE THE SAME PEOPLE! If you thought this, then that was an assumption on your part. I think most people in town know we own both shops. If Don gave you a buisness card it's because we have buisness cards and that's what they are suppose to do for our customers. It's to bad that people can't talk face to face instead of anonymous reviews that call people names. AND by the way, the reviews ARE written by our friends and our friends are our customers and we highly appreciate their support and reviews. more

First don't believe all these reviews,they are left by friends not customers...these guys own the other muffler shop in Franklin and they play it like its different place...i found out by mistake when i went to get estimates for my car and saw that the same workers are rotating between shops (the guy from Catalytic Converter ,Don Ridley i think even gave me a business card like he's the owner ..when hes just an employee....next day i saw him working at Quick Muffler).....i am telling you all this to see how they conducting business and over charging by eliminating competition....they do not have any prices ,they just look at you and telling you a price they think they can rip from you....\r I was trying to support the local business but after they wanted to charge me $250 for 1 hour of labor (i had my own parts) i just went on nolensville pike i had same work done for $100\r So please shop around a lil bit and do not support these crooks and liars because they will overcharge you for som more

Very disappointed with this shop. I asked for a 6 inch piece of exhaust pipe to be cut out and have some new pipe welded in. They said that would be fine and I waited for about 30 minutes while they finished another job. When they got my car on the lift they told me that they would not do the work with out replacing the Cat. The cat works perfectly fine and the car passes emissions. When I told him I didn't need a new cat they told me the simple patch job that I was requesting wouldn't make them enough money and that replacing the cat would make it worth their time. I've used these guys in the past for some simple work and they were happy to do it. I just don't understand why they would want to sell me an expensive cat that I do not need. Needless to say...I won't be back....simple job or extensive. more

Engine malfunction light was on in my car. This happened last yr too when I went to emissions place...it almost did not pass, but it did, when the light went out only for 2 days. This yr. took my car to Quick Muffler. They diagnosed the problem in 10 min. (even had it at dealership last yr!) and told me where to get it fixed. Back in October when time to renew my tags, my check engine light was on, and I failed Marta. As a single Mom, I panicked, started calling around, and stopped in 2 shops downtown, both FAD and Quick Muffler. I first went to FAD, and was told the converters on my SUV were bad about going out, they were nice, but I received great service at Quick Muffler, they electronically diagnosed my code for free, which was the O2 sensors, put my car on the rack, said my converters did not need repair, and welded a loose hanger. I got an estimate, they encouraged I research competition prices, and guaranteed if I found a better price they would beat it. I didn't. Very impressed. Pros: null Cons: null more

Brought my car in for repairs. Car was repaired however noticed a few days later that it was sitting too low and the under carriage of the car was hitting when even slight imperfections in roadway. Brought it back to Quick Muffler and they "OOPS" didn't set it up high enough and forgot a few screws??? Manifold got cracked due to their "OOPS" and they have refused to replace/fix it. It was due to their error when it was in for original repair and they should fix what their error caused. Guess I go back to a chain...At least with Firestone they stand behind their work and if they mess up, they fix it no cost to customer....SATISFACTION GUARANTEED.....not at Quick Muffler Pros: null Cons: null more

Prices are high here i have a few exhaust leaks my hangers break frequently. The place is very dirty the bathrooms are disgusting. I would not recomend this business to anyone looking for a place to wait while your car is being worked on. I saw a male going in and out of the lady's room while i was there also. Not a place i will be revisiting. on top of that i was told my convertors wouldn't be warrentied unless i bought new 02's with them. more

I called them after my 'go to' repair shop gave me a quote on brakes. The quote was silly compared with several others. These guys came in far less and did great work...they did what they promised. While I was waiting around the shop, I talked with several folks who have been using them for a long time. They come back, so something is working for them. more

I would like to say that I was completely satisfied, and I was blown away by their amazing customer service. I went there for a converter repair on my neon and they were only charging $250.00 when the dealership was charging around $700.00. I was in a real crisis and needed to get through emissions soon or I wasn't going to be able to drive to work and back. They are my LIFESAVER!!! I wish there was something higher than 5 stars. They listened to my problem, worked with my schedule, and found a perfect medium that worked for everyone. I would recomend them to anyone who wants fast repairs, and that is on a time limit. I had my exhaust system replaced at Quick muffler about a year ago and last week I ran off the road in my car and it started making this bad sound coming from under the bottom of my car so I took it back to Quick muffler and they were so nice. They fixxed my car and didn't even charge me anything. This is a great place to come Thank you. more

Quick Muffler is the place to go for your exhaust needs. They took care of my problems in no time flat and are very courteous. I was told from another place that I needed a converter and it wasn't, it was just a heat shield rattling. Thanks guys for being honest. more

This place was going to charge me for a muffler system that did not need anything but the muffler. They said the whole system needed to be replaced. They wanted to charge me almost $400.00 for the system. It only needed a $69.00 muffler. The other part of the system was replaced approx 5 yrs ago. I had two estimates from two other stores that were gong to charge less than $70.00. I told this to the service person about the other prices and they would not meet the price like their sign states. They lied, and they tried to put an entire system on that was not needed. I went to the other muffler store just a couple of blocks away and they put the muffler on and only charged $72.00. I do not trust this place at all. I do not see how these folks stay in business. I guess it's all these rich folks that live in Franklin and don't mind getting ripped off that go there for their muffler repairs. This store sucks big time. I suggest going to the other automotive muffler store that is REAL close to these con artist. Pros: None, they lie! Cons: Rip off store! more

I picked up a brand new catback exhaust system for my Xterra, I got it really cheap from a friend. My old exhaust was really rusted in there though. Max got it out no problem and fully welded the new system in, and he did a VERY good job, only took him 30 minutes. I even got $15 off for mentioning their website! I highly recommend this shop.
