Food for your inner child 5/10/2006

As long as there's a song in your heart you are never too old for this amazing toy store. They have a huge selection of things ranging from your general toy fair, to a good selection of brio, to collectors items. The staff is helpful and friendly and there are lots of toys to play with -- you might not want to leave! more

This unique toy store on the Third Street Promenade is worth a visit. It carries much more than puzzles. From hard to find action figures, to puzzles, games, stuffed animals, legos, blocks and more you will always find something original at this store. Kids and adults alike will have a great time browsing this small store for fun items. more

I Love Zoo! 11/4/2005

The giant elaborate displays in the windows always lure my five year old into this great toy store. Apparently, the store did start out carrying only puzzles, but feedback from customers made the owners start to stock a lot of other great things for kids. The store is still short on electronics and long on imagination. A good thing from a Mom who knows how most toys can suck batteries. They have a great selection of unique board games, many more than at your local TRU. And the stuffed animal selection makes the "zoo" in the name make sense. They also rely heavily on movie products which is great for all the Hollywood brats who love to shop for the latest movie stuff. Bottomline: Unique kids boutique great for finding gifts that are not available at every kids superstore. more

Puzzle Zoo 8/31/2005

Puzzle Zoo on 3rd St. Promenade is a great little toy shop that has all kinds of different toys and hobbies to choose from. It can be a fun place with a couple friends to look at all of the toys and mess around with stuffed animals (the fake hamburger is pretty funny). Prices can be kind of pricey, but well, it is Santa Monica. more

Good selection for kids 8/23/2005

This place is great for kids and for mothers who want to pick up some cute stuff for their babies. My sister used to love the toys in this place when she was younger but she’s a bit older now, and has outgrown most of their stuff. I’d place the age range at this store at around infant-to-5. Pretty nice selection of different toys. more

tons of action figures! 8/20/2005

This is such a great store. They have the biggest selection of action figures that I have ever seen, which is the reason that I enjoy the shop. They have mostly new figures, but also some older ones like the original Star wars figures. But they also have tons of other types of toys:puzzles, games, stuffed animals, Barbie's, and other stuff. It is a great to browse through their action figure collection, or to pick up a gift for someone. more

Cool gifts and toys 8/18/2005

Puzzle Zoo carries lots of toys: stuffed animals, vinyl figures, board games and of course, puzzles. They also sometimes carry collectible items which are normally located in the glass cabinets or behind the register. Collectibe items being Nightmare before Christmas Jack coffin figures, some Marvel comic busts, etc. It is located right on 3rd street promenade and gets a lot of foot traffic. It's a fun place to check out when you are down on the promenade. more

Great toy store in Santa Monica 8/17/2005

The Puzzle Zoo is on the 3rd street Promenade in Santa Monica. They always have the best and latest toys or gadgets in stock. Remember the Furbies? They were one of the first to carry them. People waited in line for hours to get one. The place is not huge, altho it is well stocked and you can spend lots of time there looking around more

The perfect place to go to find toys that no one else sells. Puzzle Zoo has a great mix of toys for kids and adults of all ages. I personally enjoy the Steif collection they have. more

Great selection of collectible toys 8/13/2005

This little store on the Third Street Promenade is the store I go to when I need to find small toys that are not readily available at chain toy or department stores. They carry so much more than puzzles! Granted, the sales floor is not very large, so they can't carry large toys, but they have an excellent selection of action figures, games, dolls, and amazing model figures. The prices can be high if you are looking at discontinued, limited edition, or collector items, but the regular items seem to be average price. There is no parking near the store, but the Santa Monica mall allows free parking for a short time on weekdays, and there are probably other lots offering similar parking deals. more
