Puppy Experience

I bought a sweet lil puppy on oct.13/12..she passed away on oct. 21/12 from PARVO VIRUS. Now i can't get any positive response from the staff (John)...he took my money but now he says he's just an employeeeeeee.....i produced all the necessary paper work needed for a lawful refund..it's now nov.7/12and i have a Dead 10wk old 3lb. pup buried in my back yard and no refund or vet fees...some EXPERIENCE.... i'am posting more info on BBB,""Rip Off"" & Yelp ..... more

we purchased Princess Tiana from Puppy Experience last March (2011), after our Bichon passed after 13 yrs. She is a tiny Ruby Cavalier. Initially she had kennel cough which led to pneumonia but our 2.6 lb. baby thrived and grew into a 14 lb, treasure. She is healthy, smart and playful and I will never regret walking into Puppy Experience that Sat. As soon as we saw her we knew she needed us to ""rescue"" her from her little puppy crib and we are so glad we did. Somehow P.E. had exactly what we needed! more

i bought sampson from the puppy experience last week he is a beagle and i absolutly love him! i found the staff to b very helpfull and and they called me like al the time since i brought him home so that they can help me with training and everything else i need the place was rly clean and the puppies all looked very active and healthy ive been in here b4 just to play with the puppies and i think thats great it rly like socializes them ... sampson gets along great with my pitbull nicole and i think hes a great addition to my family !!! thank you jenna and john!!!\r more

I have been a dog owner my whole life and have owned as many as 5 at once.And I bought my last 2 from the puppy experience. My family and I shopped around not so much for the best price,but the best treated .I went to 10 or 12 stores throughout the Island.I didn't like what I found..Most places smelled horrible.(The Puppy Depot was the worst. Undocumented workers and filthy) Cleanliness is next to Godliness. And the people who work there either not knowledgeable,or just down right rude..(Helen at the Sportsmen Kennel I think was drunk as well) Anyway we put it to a family vote and The Puppy Experience won hand down.The place was very clean & the salespeople very helpful.They provided me with all info I asked for as per state and federal law requires. The dogs bought were healthy and seemed happy to me. So I don't understand the posts Iv'e been reading.Well I guess the saying is right ""He who made kittens put snakes in the grass."" I had none of those experience's .Even my kids thought the place was the best out of all the places we went.. So this was my experience at The Puppy Experience. more

I guess being the most respectable pet store and having the largest customer base on long island and the tri state area can cause a company to be in the spotlight quite a bit especially in such a controversial business as this. The Puppy Experience Never had to take short cuts because the kennel is located in such a great area. The traffic alone from people who come from all areas simply to pumpkin pick, wine taste, apple pick, strawberry pick, x-mass tree picking, boating, travel the ferry in orient, fox woods, restaurants, north fork, Tanger Outlets, Aquarium and many other fun filled family activities. Coincidentally these people do pass by this beautiful place and love stopping by. The Puppy Experience has great dogs and are all from USDA breeders. The Puppy Experience challenges anyone who believes differently to come and look over all breeder information on any of there dogs. . Inspectors from the state have been to The Puppy Experience and are aware of the animal activists & other pet stores that sole intent is to slander for there own radical beliefs. These groups of people are being privately investigated and exposed to a class action lawsuit by The Puppy Experience. The Puppy Experience was happy to hear that Mr. Thompson from the SPCA had also been to The Puppy Experience. During one of his visits a customer spoke to him while at the store. This was not known by The Puppy Experience at the time. The Puppy Experience days later found out commented on the internet that this SPCA officer told her that he bought and boarded a dog for his niece there. She then stated how comforting it was to have a uniformed SPCA officer telling her this. This is why The Puppy Experience is not surprised to hear these things especially this time of year. The Puppy Experience spoke to the parties mentioned in the allegations that unregistered puppies were brought to The Puppy Experience which was unfounded. The puppies went back to the breeders and also to The Puppy Depot (AKA Peebles) Located in Medford and Sportsman Kennels Located in Manorville. The Puppy Experience Success and Popularity has been under attack for many years. Unfortunately the animal activists, disgruntled employees and envious pet stores put the attack on the biggest and the best. Any relationships that The Puppy Experience endures is only in its best interest of its puppies, customers, family & staff. The Puppy Experience does not condone anyone who has to cheat or take short cuts. Puppy stores like Yippity Yap who made channel 12 news for not providing breeder info and buying from puppy mills, Sportsman Kennels (Also known as the death Chamber) who also buys from puppy mills & puppy brokers. They also hide behind their fake breeding stock which they lie about, forge registration paperwork and say there puppies are bred from their older dogs posing as parents on their premises. Puppy Depot Well known for Jordans emaciated dogs, smell and hygiene was also shut down for the same reasons as Yuppy Puppy. Now its being run as Peebles. The Puppy Experience does not condone this behavior. The Puppy Experience has always been known for its 5 Year Health Warranty, Cleanliness, and its great vet relationships throughout Long Island. The Puppy Experience has been in business long enough to understand how far people will go to discriminate against them even with false accusations of medicine practicing, and sick dogs. The Puppy Experience Spares no expense with a team of vets that take care of all the puppies The Puppy Experience has been in business for a long time and loves helping customers find new homes for there new puppies. The Puppy Experience must be doing something right to do as well as they have. The proven fruits of The Puppy Experience will hopefully be cast down for generations to come. This place was beyond awful. The people were awful, the dogs were in sick little cribs and some were even in the windows where the sun could just sit on them directly. It was completely disappointing that someone could do this and think it's okay. Truly heartbreaking. The threatening reviews all over the internet from the owner are also concerning enough, it seems odd that he has had to post numerous posts about threats and hunting people down. While I would agree people go too far (which the staff there clearly know about as they kicked me out of the store for asking for paperwork on a dog) there's no reason to threaten people personally. The fact of the matter was this place was completely heartbreaking, from the dogs that clearly seemed in poor health (i've now found out numerous people have purchased dogs with pneumonia from them) to the staff that were nasty and not at all observant of the people in the store sticking there hands in all the ""cribs"" picking up these young dogs. It was absolutely awful and a truly upsetting experience. more

I originally purchase a basset hound named Otis in June 2010. He came with some problems but Puppy Experience quickly resolved them in a professional manner, never leaving my with any questions. I went back again in Sept 2011 and got another bassett hound, Lola, as a playmate for Otis and it has been the best thing thing I could have done.\r All business's have consumer complaints, but if they are resolved in a professional manner and not pushed aside, then its all good more

horrible horrible place that gets ALL their puppies from puppy mills (they lie and say they are from breeders- go ahead- call ANY breeder and ask if they have EVER sold one single puppy to a puppy store! not only would they not ethically- it doesn't even make financial sense for them to do so). as a local vet tech i have had to watch family after family get their hearts broken when the sick puppies from Puppy Experience die after huge vet bills trying to save them. YOU ARE NOT RESCUING A PUPPY by buying from here- instead you are keeping the puppy mills and places like this in operation, keeping the cruelty in operation. (notice the Hummer and Corvette outside store that owner has? bought with blood money). Let me start this by saying - NICE TRY WITH DELETING MY POST FROM YESTERDAY. Just proves my point about this place. I AGREE with fredandginger! I drove by this place 3 times this weekend and every time they had puppies in a TINY cage in the blaring sun with hamster water bottles and no SHADE! That is abuse! Dog can only sweat very little through their paws so keeping them in the direct sunlight, especially on a day like yesterday, is awful. My sister also made the mistake of going in this ""store"" where someone who worked there, woke the puppies up so they could see how ""cute"" they were, by taking a stick and hitting the cages - is this prison?? more

i purchased my 2nd pup from here a week ago we did research the breeder as boxers can have alot of health issues i found all good things. I emailed him my number and was contacted immeaditly i was sent health records and video clips of the parents. i loved the HUGE pkg u get with the puppies however i did choose to use my own vet. my vet told me he can tell by examing bruno that he was bred properly. he reciever a clean bill of health and to my surprize was even paracite free. my last pup molly had paracites when i got her , the puppy experience covered it and as my vet explained paracites are very common and not every stool sample will show a positive result even if the puppy does have a paracite. i found this place to be very clean friendly and full of happy healthy looking puppies . its great that they let you come in and just play with as many puppies as you want i dont know any other place that does that . GO AND SEE FOR YOUR SELF EVERY ONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINIONS AND MINE IS THAT THE PLACE IS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING! more

but why would you when you see puppies sitting outside in 100 degree heat?? They are clearly there as advertising for these expensive PUPPY MILL puppies. Please be a RESPONSIBLE pet owner - if you do your research you wouldn't even consider a dump like this. more

hi my names bobby i have been looking for a puppy for months and had visited man puppy stores and kennels on the island and the puppy experience is by far the cleanest and coolest one ive seen.. i was greeted by two young workers, i belive mike and jenna. they had helped me with all my questions and belive me i had alot. i was looking for a english labrador ( which is a bigger block headed lab ) and they had the most gorgeous pup there! they brought me into this lil room with a big leather cough it was very comfortable.. i had spent some time with him they said they called him barney cause he was so fat! lol they have a great 5 year health warranty along with many extras, i fell in love at first sight! he was origginally listed at 1695 but they worked with me and gave me $300 OFFF! i was so happy and took him home that day...brought him to their vet and he had a little cold, but ofcourse i expected it since they are contantly being loved by so many people and they are just like infants their vet gave him sum natural holistic vitmans and workd amazingly, needless to say this is the best dog i have ever owned and am extremly pleased with jenna and mikes help wich brought me to my little chunky barney boy....i highley recomend this kennel and for all of you who have negative things to say, trust me this place is heavon compared to any other kennel like that horrid puppy depot or perfect puppy place those are discusting ....if your looking for a nice pup deff check this place out!!!! hope my story helped god bless you guys and keep up the good work!!! _ Bobby more

""Rescued"" puppy for $1500.00 from this store. Parasites, Respiratory infection, elevated white blood cell count. $500.00 in vet fees so far and still counting. They were not honest about a prior surgery the dog had as well. They obviously use puppy mill dogs and sell them for top dollar. more

Had a great puppy experience at this lovely store! Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Brought home a golden retriever and named him LUKE. Love this store and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great puppy!!\r \r Dont know what the bad review is for, customer service is awesome, guarantee explained clearly and in writing, plus the store is sooooo clean-including all the puppies- thank you puppy experience. more

Just wanted to let the world know that I love this store- Great puppies, great atmosphere, very family oriented, even can go outside on the lawn and play with the pups- my son brought home a dachshund and he is AWESOME... I drove all the way from New Jersey to get a puppy from here, two of my neighbors had gotten their dogs from The Puppy Experience and they HIGHLY Recommended the store. \r \r They have a great Warranty Program and were very accomodating. \r \r They spent hours with me before I made my finally choice, they were so patient that I can still barely believe it, but I know why they were, they wanted to make sure I was going to be happy with my new bundle of joy - who's now 120lbs of lovable Rottweiler muscle.\r \r Thanks guys. \r \r Love ya. more

I find it funny how their business has been taken down from Merchant Circle. The reason I can see is because of the negative comments from previous buyers. I guess they cannot handle the truth and it was hurting their business. Now all of sudden on this site everything is positive. Oh there will be a face-book page letting others know what kind of people are behind the operations over at the Puppy Experience. Pros: NO PROS Cons: Verbally abusive and great at scamming consumers!!!! more
