Pulakos 926 Chocolate

An age old Erie tradition, this chocolatier has been world renowned for their family owned business. Seeing it grow through the years has been a wonderful thing and while I myself don't care for the darker chocolates they offer I know so many others that swear by it. The funny thing is, your either a Pulakos fan or a Romolo's or Stefanelli's fan. Romolo's boasts the original Stefanelli's recipes from Papa Romolo Stefanelli, while Stefanelli's boasts the old recipe with some new twists (not quite the same) but both are a smooth milk chocolate. Pulakos offers milk chocolate also, but it has a darker chocolate taste. Their savory and famous chocolate strawberries will always be an Erie favorite and I have to say, no matter what can't be copied. With various locations and age old recipes, this long time Erie standard favorite shall remain so! more

Pulakos has been around for many years. I remember selling their candy bars in elementary school for a fund raiser. One of Pulakos most famous items are their chocolate covered strawberries. To die for! Pulakos also has an "open house" type event during the year where you can watch them make the chocolate and also get samples. more

Erie has a few chocolatiers, but I believe that Pulakos is the best. Their chocolate is so decadent and modestly priced to fit your budget. Their many conveniently located stores have a wide variety of chocolate products to appeal to anyone, whether for yourself or as a gift. Their chocolate covered strawberries are to die for! more

Pulakos has good chocolate and a great variety. They have convenient stores around the city. If you love dark chocolate, it is the place to buy it. It has been in business for many, many years and has a large following. I do like dark chocolate once in a while and that is the place I like to go for it. They are also famous for their chocolate covered strawberries which are a favorite in Erie. more
