Fair place... Very Bad Management! It's true I brought a flask in one night because the new server was so slow in doing her job. (they charged my debit card with out me signing it, plus added more charges to it) I came in again a Month later and was told to leave or Dan or Ryan would call the Police. I didn't even buy a one drink.. I was always a gentleman... no fights / arguments! I called the owner the next day and he hung-up on me when I asked him his name.. The only reason I went there... 5 people invited me. Rude staff and management?? DO NOT GO THERE! But if you do?? check your debit / credit card for overcharges. Hey, Mcmenamins is just down the street!!! more

New Owner - Same Great Club 6/8/2011

This place is a staple of east side hospitality. Other rooms have come and gone, gotten seedy in some cases, Pub 181 is always a classy joint with great food and people! The new owner knows the industry and understands the fantastic resource he has in the pub staff that we all have come to appreciate...Pub 181 will continue to be the best place to catch great music and food that it always has been.... Random Pressure has already played (a fantastic ensemble of talent) and Second Hand Buzz is playing the weekend coming up (another fantastic rock/dance band) so the music talent is as good or better than ever!! Great to see that we can still count on Pub 181!! more

I loved going to pub 181, I love all the staff they can spoil you rotten, I heard that the pub was sold and new owners are taking over this week, they will have some very special shoes to fill, more

no band schedule listings is inconvenient 4/30/2011

The bands might be great, the staff awesome, and the people alot of fun, but how do people really know whose playing or what if it isnt listed anywhere? If a person wants to know whose playing, normally go to a website or google it, but when I did that Pub 181, nothing listed came up. So I would suggest you find someone to make a listing of bands playing! Good luck. more

Nothing but GOOD to say about this establishment.! 4/28/2011

Please, take the time to stop in and feel the good times, or the fabulous breakfast, dinner specials hello! I spent my 50th Birthday there., family and friends. Not to mention, the owners. Amazing........... Never, have I had a better time celebrating a mile stone, Yikes ! a mile stone. A memory I will never forget and it is because you can have a nice night at Pub 181... My Thanks. more

sundays great breakfast. 11/14/2010

on sundays they have a spend of the wheel for a free b-fast that is on the board. the omlets are great. there is enough for 3 meals. the sunday staff is great and you can get very spoiled, by the food more

I am the one that both of you are talking about, Jeff and I were there 2 hours and yes we did have 3 drinks each. I went to close the tab just as the owner told us we had to much. the loud one was the searver. and yes my card did not go though 2 times. I might of been loud because the owner and the searver were accross the room. I did not cuss, I did not hit. I just tried to work things out. yes I had the money in the account when i got home I called the card company they saw pub 181 2 times and they said that there was a glinch in the system. that it should of been paid for. I have been going there for a long time and never had trouble before. more

i have been going to pub 181 over a year. I watched a sweet couple met each other and devolope a relationship, jeff and patty, They both go there very often and just enjoy a few drinks, they seem to just enjoy life and do not do any harm. more

There's always something going on at PUB 181.... 11/3/2010

My daughter and son-in-law (#1 colts fan) are regulars of Pub 181 and have been for many years which is now why I am a frequent visitor myself. I start many days with a great breakfast then off to a game of golf! The service is great and the food portions are huge. The sense of humor of the owner, Bob, makes me laugh everytime! This establishment is professional and very welcoming at the same time. I would recommend a visit, and you too, will become a frequent customer!! more

Very warm environment 11/3/2010

As a patriot of Pub 181 I find the staff is very warm and cordial. Their #1 priority is satisfying their customers. Food is fantastic. The atmosphere is outstanding. As a black American I feel very welcomed and secure in Liz and Bob's establishment. As retired teacher and football coach, I highly recommend Pub 181 to any of collegues and friends. more

Best Place to hang with friends 11/3/2010

I have been going to Pub 181 for almost 5 years and the people there are like family, the owners Bob and Liz make you feel like you are and that this is your home away from home, i know no matter what kind of mood i am in i will always feel better going here. The food is great, and the bands are always fun... Watching sports here is great as they aways have everything on to watch.. So if your looking for a fun friendly place the come here. more

Pub 181 is one of the best hang outs I've ever been too. i am so addicted to the neon lights, great food and great service. i've been going to this place for more than 3 years and have never ran into issues or bad service, even on mondays i go to enjoy a great football game and there are drawings for T-shirts, hats and a jersey during the game, what other bar gives that much stuff out for FREE for just showing up and having great food and a few drinks? I would recommend this place... more

Halloween Booooooooooooooooooooooooo! 11/2/2010

This place as been the go-to Halloween spot for our crowd for years. However, the last 2 years have been quite the disappointment for those of us that put effort and thought into our costumes and plan on being in the costume ""contest"". We even callled to make sure they were having a contest and were told there was going to be Best Female, Best Male and Best Couple contest like years of past. more

Costume Contest - I think Not 11/1/2010

I have been going to Pub 181 for the last 19 years and every year we have a big group of friends meet at Pub 181 for Halloween. We like to get dressed up, dance and have fun. We go because their is a costume contest - well the last 2 years it is not a contest. The owner just picks who she thinks should win, this year it was a witch, no make up, no wig, nothing special. It would seem to me they should have anyone who wants to enter come up on the dance floor so everyone can see and maybe the most applauds picks the winner, not the owner picking one of her friends, or regular customers. I asked the owner about the contest and she was extremely rude to me and used foul language even calling me a name I can't say on this site. I would of thought that local bar owners would care a little more about their customers and at least have respect. more
