Best

Very caring and reliable. He is fairly priced and is very helpful. Extremely competent psychologist. I would recommend him to anyone.

Worst

I initially enjoyed my sessions with Dr. Zach, even when I didn't enjoy them, if you know what I mean. He's compassionate and a good listener, he has very helpful information and...

I would not recommend him to a friend. 7/23/2011

PRO: While he does have the steepest and most stringent cancellation policy I've seen, he is very open and up front about it. He also has an incredible confidence in himself, which I'm not sure is a pro since I believe it to be unfounded. CON:. Had I read these reviews before hand I might have known what I was getting into. He does love to talk about himself for the majority of the time and can be quite long winded. He seems to answer questions with tangents that go off topic and can result in the patient leaving confused and unheard. ADVICE TO THE COUNSELOR: Your ability to help people would greatly increase if you brushed up on your listening skills. I understand you have probably been doing this for a long time, but it's never too late to relearn some of the basics! All in all, he's not the worst counselor out there. It's just that there are so many good counselors that I don't see a reason to put up with sub-par mental health care. more

Psychotherapy 12/18/2010

“It is my belief that psychotherapy has the best chance to be effective when the client and therapist have a strong therapeutic alliance. That is, they have a good working relationship and are working toward exactly the same goals using methods or approaches best suited for the client. I strive to achieve this by providing a warm and safe climate, listening closely to the needs of my clients, and discussing our options and strategies.\r I use a combination of methods in my practice. As I stated, my preference is to use the method best suited for the client based on their desires, situation, personality, and presenting problem. I have been known to use Cognitive-Behavioral, Interpersonal, Solution-Focused, and Psychodynamic methods in my practice.\r I have worked with clients with a wide range of problems and backgrounds. My areas of specialty are Depression, PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, Substance Abuse, and Relational Problems (Marital/Couples Therapy). In addition, I work with children and their parents together, teaching parents to be their child's own therapist.”\r more

Super Psychologist 8/18/2009

I have been seeing Dr. Zach for several months now and we have made excellent progress. I have been had depression, anxiety, and relationship problems for most of my life. Dr. Zach takes the time to listen to your problems and tries to understand them your way first, which really allowed me to open up and talk. My whole perception of life has changed and I am doing fantastic now. If you need a psychologist who really cares and knows what he is doing, this is the one for you. \r \r BTW, I've never had any money issues even arise in our session. He collects his fees and even goes out of his way to file claims. I have been very regular to therapy, but he has made exception for me when I had a semi-emergency and did not charge me anything extra. I would be very reluctant to believe the reviews that say otherwise (They could be the same person trying to give Dr. Zach a bad name, but you know how that goes). Pros: Very caring, compassionate, understanding more

I was robbed by Zachary Borynack 8/8/2009

Before I went to Dr. Borynack I had been diagnosed with many different personality disorders by two seperate doctors. I went to Bornyack to get a third opinion. After more than a month of therapie I know more about him than he knows about me such as: he fought throught cancer when he was in the army rangers and they wouldn't let him out of a desk job until he was better, he decides to move to oklahoma with his family even though he really doesn't want to because he wants to ""live"", he goes to school and meets his wife and has two boys, etc. I DONT CARE! Once we spent a half of a session talking about his front lawn. It sounds like he is the one with post traumatic stress syndrome. Anyways when I tried to finally cancel our appointments 48 hours in advance as agreed, he told me it had to be be 48 business hours and that there would be a $125 fee to cancel and that insurance would not pay for it! I told him that I would go to the appointment so that I could save $100 dollars even though I didn't want to go to his rediculus sessions. I plan on letting him know personally what I think about him and his so called therapy on monday. Cons: We talked more about him than me more

overcharges and dishonest about fees 3/2/2009

This shrink is only concerned with making money - he charges outrageous prices and will NOT work with you on your own schedule. I have spent over $1000.00 in fees that were not services rendered.\r \r BUYER (PATIENT) BEWARE!!!!! more

Excellent Psychologist 7/28/2006

I initially enjoyed my sessions with Dr. Zach, even when I didn't enjoy them, if you know what I mean. He's compassionate and a good listener, he has very helpful information and solutions, and he doesn't seem at all jaded by his profession. But we had a falling out when he insisted I said something I know for a fact I did not say. He insisted he's trained in this and that, etc., and claimed I was trying to redefine my past comments to suit the current issue. But the fact still remains, his alleged quote from me I never would have said. He was simply wrong, and completely unwilling to acknowledge the possibility he was wrong. I understand that some time goes by before he can write his notes from the session, so you'd think he'd allow that he might have been incorrect and not dig in his heels as he did. He claimed he didn't judge, but this alleged quote exposed that he bears some preconceived ideas. I left his practice feeling as though I wasted the money from 6 months of therapy. Pros: Snappy Dresser Cons: Personally inflexible more

Great Psychologist 1/6/2006

Again, I have been seeing Zac for over a year and he truly listens to what you are saying. He sets aside his personal values and concentrates on what is important to you. He has helped me overcome my fears, worries, and interpersonal difficulties. I recommend him to anyone. I am not sure why the questionable review above. People come to therapy for many different problems...perhaps Zac was correct in his assessment and this person is simply taking out her frustration and inability to self-examine on him. I don't believe a word of it. Zac is through and doesn't miss the details. He genuinely cares about what he is doing and I have found him to be the best thing I have experienced for this type of service. If you are considering a psychologist for psychotherapy, I highly recommend Zac regardless of your problem. more
