We were introduced to Prosecco by our brother-in-law a few years ago after he passed by it on a visit to town and stopped for a glass of wine to kill time. After having the speci...

This is why Zagat (a 25 food rating) is not to be trusted 100%. We ordered the Cappelini al dente, what we got was an almost mushy overcooked pasta with a tasteless (almost no sa...

Eric is the coup de grace! 1/9/2007

We have ALWAYS enjoyed our lunches and/or dinners at Prosecco. We bring out-of-town guest and relatives to enjoy the ambience and Eric's attentiveness to our experience. Eric has always been engaging and aware of our needs before we are. Highly recommend this refined menu and service. more

Excellent food, not a great experience (for me). 12/12/2006

Very nice food. We had all the appetizers and several of the entrees, loved them - but the evening was overshadowed by Eric's supercilious attitude. I was to meet a party who evidently hadn't arrived yet, and instead of inviting me to see if they were there or show me the reservation list, he sneered something like ""well maybe your date ran away"" and proceeded to turn his back and ignore me for 40 minutes. It would have been nice to be offered a drink or even a menu while I sat embarassed near the door... when I eventually wondered out loud if my party had called or something, he scowled at me and snapped ""NO, all the reservations have been filled"" and acted like he was going to shoo me out. I leaned over and spotted my party's name on the list, one of whom had arrived unbeknownst to me - she'd been seated right away. When I found the name on the list, there was no acknowledgement, no smile, no ""right this way"", just a flap of the menu in the right direction and a dismissive grunt to our server. I got a very unwelcome feeling like I was some kind of bum or wasn't dressed nicely enough, looked cool enough, or some other variation of are-you-still-here, why-haven't-you-left-yet. (By the way I am a woman, was dressed neatly and always comport myself politely in restaurants and everywhere else.) Nice food but that guy is just too ultra-cool (or something) for me. I won't be back. Pros: ambience, food Cons: parking more

Toluca Hidden Treasure 9/24/2006

My girlfriend and I are always looking for different places to eat. This nice Italian restaurant was discovered one day while driving around and looking for a place to eat. We saw the name and decided to try it out. more

Sometimes you want to be pampered 5/17/2005

When you walk in it's like returning to your Italian roots (even if you're Afr. Am). The staff greets you as if you're their own family. They remember your name, what you usually like to eat and what type of wine you like. I've been going to this place for years and every time I take someone to share in the Prosecco experience, they're hooked. It's always the first stop for my parents when they visit from Tacoma, WA. This may sound strange, but more often than not, you'll hear someone say...Wow..have you been into that bathroom? 110% all around!! Head there now!!! more

HIDDEN LITTLE TOLUCA LAKE TREASURE 10/16/2004

Been a loyal customer for a few years now. Soon as you walk through the door, it's as if you are truly in a fine dinning establisment in ""ITALY"". The personable (Same Staff For YEARS ++) service, along with outstanding menu & specials they offer, are always above & beyond my expectations on each visit. Very accommodating on ""Special"" request dishes. You know this place will continue to be in business for a long time to come. PS ~ Rotating Wines, A BIG Plus............ Pros: Above Accommodating, Flavorful FOODS, Friendly Staff more

Great Little Place! 5/8/2004

This is, as others have already said, a true neighborhood gem. The menu is large enough that you won't get bored eating here a lot, but not so ""we try to please everyone"" as some places do. Stick with pasta dishes and the nighlty specials and you won't go wrong. Above average wine list that's updated quite a bit. Other than not being open on Sundays (when we like to eat out), it's great. Pros: Good value, Personable staff, Nice decor Cons: , Small; can get full more

Great food!! 10/31/2003

My husband took me for my birthday and we had a nice table in the front. The food was excellent and the server was pleasant and helpful. Try the Linguni Mista Mare with shrimp, bay scallops and calamari. Yum! more

Nice Italian 6/2/2002

Prosecco is one of those LA-style restaurants that you can go to for a nice business lunch or a reasonably casual dinner. Cloth napkins and table cloths, but completely unpretentious. The food is very good, and the prices reasonable...with delicious bread to start. Not something to write home about, but at the same time, you can't go wrong here. Try the lasagna, which is particularly good. Private room in the back is great for events or large business lunches. more
