Pros Water Heater is the best water heater company here in San Jose! I called them on the weekend to see about getting someone out to take a look at my water heater that had been leaking a little but and making some unusual noises. My call was answered and their dispatcher scheduled and appointment for the same day. Dan came out on time and even had the right part in stock to fix my water heater right there on spot. I couldn't recommend Pros Water Heater any higher. Just take my word and call them if you need a water heater repairman in San Jose! more

I called Pros Water Heater San Jose to do a water heater replacement. They were very friendly and helpful. They even came out the same day! I would defiantly recommend them to anyone looking to hire a good water heater company. more

Came out and replaced my 13 year old water heater the same day! The price was fair, they were friendly and they got the job done. Thats all I could ask for! more

Our water heater stopped working either last night or this morning so after a cold shower I decided to send out a few emails and ask for recommendations and check yelp in the meantime. The first company I called couldn't work on GE water heaters so they suggested I call someone else. As soon as I called, the person on the phone was very professional, said he could work on GE and that it could be one of two things wrong. I asked if there was a service charge and he said free estimate. He gave me a 12-2pm window and said the technician would call 30 minutes before he arrived. He did call at 11:45, said he would be there by 12:15 which he was. He looked at it and said , his first guess was a T-Couple (I think) which would be $175 to replace. And if that didn't work would be the thermostat but it ended up being what he thought it was. So the $175 I figure is probably industry standard for a fix, I wasn't happy about that price but I give them 4 stars for being prompt and professional. The only thing I didn't like is that if you pay with credit card they just write it down on the invoice instead of having something to scan it into so that made me a little uncomfortable just having my card written down for the technician to have. So the bottom line is, I probably paid a little more than I would have liked to, had I shopped around I might have gotten a better price, but I was happy to have the problem solved by lunch. more

We didn't get our work done through Excalibur because they don't do jobs across the bridge (in the East Bay). But Bill gave us great advice and saved us money! The Situation: My older parents live in an area that Excalibur does not service and really needed to replace a water heater that broke over the weekend. They got an estimate from Affordable Water Heater Company of over $2000 to replace the water heater, replace fittings, pull a city permit, etc. They even charged $99 to provide the estimate! My parents called me to ask my opinion before agreeing to the work, and to me, it sounded like a really high price so I looked on Yelp and found Excalibur Water Heaters on Yelp. The Solution: I called Pros Water Heater and conferenced Bill (owner) and my dad on the phone to discuss the details and Bill spent his (unpaid) time to help my dad - listening, asking questions, and giving some good advice. The water heater these other guys were going to install was not a reliable brand and the price they were charging was WAY HIGH. So we asked for a referral and Bill gave us one that was MUCH more reasonable. The Future: If I or any of my friends and family ever need a water heater repair or replacement, we'll definitely be calling Pros Water Heater San Jose! With only 10-15 minutes on the phone with Bill, I can tell he knows his stuff and is not stingy with his knowledge and helpfulness. more

My hot water heater broke down on a Friday night. Three highly Yelp-reviewed vendors came out on Saturday to look at the job and gave an estimate. I didn't rush into hiring just anybody even though I had only cold water at the house. fun. I decided to give Pros Water Heater San Jose the business because of the following reasons, 1. Dan was very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and responsive. Hot water heater is his gig and he does this all day every day. 2. Dan gave me a very competitive price. He actually lists his price on his website. So, I know he is not out to rip anyone off and makes up a price randomly for customers who have not done their homework. He did bump up the quote a bid because my hot water heater is in the attic and you can only get up there by a ladder. Even with that, his price was still the lowest! 3. Imagine getting an old hot water heater in and a new hot water heater out through a hole in the ceiling. Dan didn't complaint. He just focused on how to get it done. During the installation, 1. Dan and his assistant got to my house ahead of time. 2. Dan and his assistant did an awesome job on getting the old hot water heater out and the new one in through basically a hole in the ceiling. It was no walk in the park. 3. Dan did everything he said he would do on his website, - Install the tank of your choice - Hauling your old unit away - All necessary plumbing connections that need to be changed because they are old, not to code or are non functional. This also includes seismic straps, gas line, gas valve, venting and a pan if necessary - Job site clean up 4. At the end of the job, he voluntarily reduced the price because the job wasn't as difficult as he had estimated. With that, he price was actually much lower than the other vendors. And when was the last time a contractor reduced the price voluntarily ? How do you beat that? I think he is as good as you can get! Dan, Thank You! more

These guys are awesome! They were able to come out the same day and replaced my 12 year old water heater with a new one. Their price was very competitive and they offerer a really really good warranty on their services. I will defiantly call Pros Water Heater San Jose again! more
