Best Meal in Newport 4/29/2008

I've been eating at Pronto since I moved to Newport 3 years ago. I have never had a bad meal here. The chef is very passionate about food and making the dining experience everything it can be. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is eclectic. The service is amazing - the wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine. I also live in NYC and Pronto could definitely stand on its own there. I highly recommend dining here! Pros: Great service, seasonal menu, great food Cons: None more

A Great Meal and Service 10/13/2005

I ate at Pronto's last week and had one of the best meals I've had in years. The restaurant is very cozy. The chef came out and introduced himself to us. You can tell he is very passionate about cooking. The menu changes often, depending on what seafood is fresh. The decor inside is very charming and romantic. I will definitely be back. more

Not Bad 8/3/2004

Among some of the other Newport restaurants this was one more reasonably priced. The food was very good and the overall experience pleasant. Only one complaint so be warned: I ordered a $7 caesar salad (no chicken) and seriously received 12 pieces of romaine, 4 croutons, a dribble or dressing. The parmesan was MIA. So don't order salad because it is an offense to logical market computations. Pros: Decent food, Nice interior Cons: , of supply and demand more
