Wonderful Italian 5/27/2006

The menu isn't large, but the food and service are great. The saffron/asparagus risotto with big fat prawns and scallops is hard to beat for lunch or dinner. They have a lunch punch card. The atmosphere is kinda North Beach (SF) crossed with industrial chic (big metal "clouds" adorn the exposed ceiling). It's classy and not too expensive. more

Great local spot 8/23/2005

The Primo Grill started off a little shaky when first opening, but now is revolutionizing itself as a treasured restaurant in the Tacoma area. In between downtown and residential areas, it should attract both sides of town. The food, which started with a limited menu, now rivals some of the chops in the area. This is partly due to the fact that the chef who opened up the Primo Grill was formerly a chef at the restaurant on top of the Sheraton hotel in downtown Tacoma. more

Great food, hip atmosphere 8/23/2005

Chef Charlie McManus has put together a fabulous menu that relies on Northwest specialties as well as staples from his native Ireland. There's seating along the open-air kitchen and Primo's wood-fired pizzas are a local favorite. There's a great wine list and a terrific array of martinis. My favorite entree? The warm bread salad. YUM! more
