Best

I love being a part of this gym. It's very popular among the teenagers in Burlingame for a quick workout. They have basketball "rooms" so you can practice hoops, and sometimes you...

Worst

Although it is a nice facility for the "real" gym rat it isn't going to have what you want. A lot of kids, and "mature" folks who just get in the way.

Prime Time Athletic Club is A great Club 9/24/2009

Dirty showers, bad habits...not cool. 8/23/2008

joined 3 times-finally i gave up...always black hairs in showers, members 'cleaning' their noses in showers, hot tub unusable from too much clorine and women without bathing suits stretching and doing tai chi too close to me for comfort. Pros: nice facility, parking, pool Cons: dirty showers, gross member habits more

The Writing is on the Wall! Beware of this place! 9/15/2007

Be warned, this place is so mismanaged and run by individuals that know nothing about customer service. Not in their vocabulary! Don't even look for the suggestion box because they claim the have gone "Green" and done away with it! It is probably overflowing with gripes and suggestions and don't want to read it anyway! For new prospective members, they will smile and give you all kinds of sweet talk but once you commit to join, you will find those same individuals ignoring you like you never existed! Talk to some of the members and you will see that what I am telling you is not garbage. They will tell you the truth and it is not positive! Want to bring in a guest? Cough up a ridiculous $25 and nothing is complimentary. The toilet area stinks and if you ever have the tour, go through the hot tub area, the chlorine is enough to shorten your life let alone remove all the hair off of a person's body! Don't eat there either because with the amount of customers patronizing their cafe which amounts of virtually none, you don't know how old the food is. Take a look and you will see for yourself. Want to really see how problems or suggestions are really handled? Ask for the owner or general manager that you have a problem with something? They will tell you to either put up with it or quit! This review is the writing on the wall for you to decide whether you want to join this club or not! Don't be fooled and check out the other clubs in the area if you really want to enjoy your club in a friendly atmosphere. If you are into pain and sadistic, you may want to consider this place. If a Club Sport or another high end club comes into the area, I assure you that this place will go vacant in a flash! Members just tolerate the situation but tolerance has its breaking point! The writing is on the wall too for the owner and incompetent management staff! Pros: Location to Airport Cons: Management and customer service more

The kids camp was not acceptable 6/29/2007

I was one of the parents forced to watch my child crying on the stage at the "end of camp show" when the teens decided it was more important to just end the show as quickly as possible, in order to go on to do who-knows-what that Friday evening. All the girls worked very hard on their song performance, but due to technical glitch and poor management they were told they were not going to do their song after all. Poor girls! They would not stop crying. The camp director did not handle it well. Instead of a "lifetime of memories" we'll have a lifetime of recalling how upset our girls all were that evening, not the mention the small fortune spent at this rather costly camp. We'll never send our child there again, and we'll not be joining this club any time soon. more

Heartbroken little girls at Prime Time Kids camp 6/28/2007

June 29, 2007 Dear Prime Time, I am writing to you as a parent of one of the little girls that were not allowed to perform their song at the end of Camp during the first session. No one ever said being a parent was easy, but it tore us apart watching our child and her friends crying on the stage after the mishandling of the event by the teenagers running it. The only adult in charge already knows our feelings, and offered nothing satisfactory. Never mind that this is one of the more expensive camps in the area, and one would expect a few experienced adults there that know how to handle these situations. Experienced adults are not in a hurry to just finish up the camp show so they can move on with the rest of their Friday night plans. I wish I could say that it will be forgotten. But even if I asked my child to return for another session, I know she'd refuse - her last memory of the camp is her in tears with her friends. My family was also considering joining Prime Time. I know your club is separate from the camp - but now every time I would go there, I'll be reminded of this heartbreaking incident for our daughter. Who needs that? ----------------- Mrs. XXXX, Burlingame, CA more

Great facilities! 6/27/2007

Wonderful, clean, well-maintained facilities. Never crowded- you can always get right on to a machine. You largely workout unsupervised as there seem to be no trainers on the floor except those helping someone in a personal training appointment. Pros: Great facility, machines well-maintained. Cons: Staff leaves something to be desired. more

Wonderful, clean, well-maintained facilities. Never crowded- you can always get right on to a machine. You largely workout unsupervised as there seem to be no trainers on the floor except those helping someone in a personal training appointment. The kids working the front desk could take some customer service training (apparently they haven't gotten any) as they are usually very surly and rarely seem glad to be there. This is probably more a reflection on their supervisor than on them. Pros: Great facility, machines well-maintained. Cons: Staff leaves something to be desired. more

ONE OF THE BEST GYMS IN BURLINGAME 10/18/2006

THIS GYM IS GREAT AND THE CLASS ARE PRETTY COOL TOO. THE STAFF IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND THE PLACE IS ALWAYS PACKED. THE MEMERSHIP FEE IS EXPENSIVE BUT WILL WORTH IT. more

Gym 2/7/2006

This gym is a favorite among several Millbrae and Burlingame residents alike and draws more of a younger crowd. In their facitliy they have several sports related areas of interest for differents athletes. The price is a little high to have a membership, but the benfits of this gym are a very clean and stressless atmosphere. more

Very Popular 7/17/2005

I love being a part of this gym. It's very popular among the teenagers in Burlingame for a quick workout. They have basketball "rooms" so you can practice hoops, and sometimes you can even manage to sneak a soccer ball in there to practice your penalty shots. They also have tennis courts, so make sure you bring your racquets. Plus, they have an awesomely refreshing pool so you can do laps in peace. more
