Dear Prime Time,
I am writing to you as a parent of one of the little girls that were not allowed to perform their song at the end of Camp during the first session.
No one ever said being a parent was easy, but it tore us apart watching our child and her friends crying on the stage after the mishandling of the event by the teenagers running it. The only adult in charge already knows our feelings, and offered nothing satisfactory.
Never mind that this is one of the more expensive camps in the area, and one would expect a few experienced adults there that know how to handle these situations. Experienced adults are not in a hurry to just finish up the camp show so they can move on with the rest of their Friday night plans.
I wish I could say that it will be forgotten. But even if I asked my child to return for another session, I know she'd refuse - her last memory of the camp is her in tears with her friends.
My family was also considering joining Prime Time. I know your club is separate from the camp - but now
every time I would go there, I'll be reminded of this heartbreaking incident for our daughter. Who needs
that?
