I took my son to dinner on his birthday and was very pleased with the value. If steak is your thing this place is hard to beat. For your money you just get a ton of food that is of nice quality. more

Food is delicious but getting pricey 10/28/2008

I treat myself to a steak dinner for my birthday, even have the chef prepare my steak instead of my doing it. Always done the way I want. However, the prices just keep going up. Soon I won't be able to justify the expense. Wait staff is always superb. more

Grill your own for twenty bucks (includes salad bar) 11/26/2006

For twenty bucks, you get to select your own piece of the cut of your choice (or a fish filet, or a skewer), grill it to your liking, enjoy unlimited trips to the salad bar, and desert. You can't go wrong. They also have a good wine list and a selection of draft beers. For heavy duty eaters, if you can eat a mega-sized steak in one sitting, you get a free return visit. more

Tasty and filling 4/20/2006

I've eaten here at least 3 times and everytime I have left with a smile on my face. The steaks are of excellent quality. You can do your own or have the kitchen do it. You get to choose the meat, potatos, salad and all of the related fixins'. I do like that Texas toast ............ Great meals! Bring your wallet. Pros: atmosphere, conversation friendly, great food Cons: a little pricey more

Seriously, how can you even rank a restaurant that makes you cook your own steaks. Yeah, it may be fun, but seriously in the scheme of things this does not qualify as a "steakhouse", compared to the others on the list....there's better out there, especially at this high of a ranking! more

This is a great place to take friends or coworkers. You cook your own steaks over one of three grills. It's a friendly environment, with people gathered around the grills, talking and drinking and snacking on the Texas toast (also grilled). The salad bar is above average. The drinks are good and the service is excellent. One of my favorite resturaunts in 'the valley'. Pros: steaks, salad bar, atmosphere Cons: a bit loud sometimes more

I've enjoyed myself to the fullest at Prime Quarter. I think it's a briliant idea to prepare your own meat. It's something different. It also gives you a chance to mingle and chat with other guests around you. I would recomend it to anyone. Of course, the dishes are wonderful, depending if you cook it right ;) Pros: Cooking your self, The "Pit" Cons: Sometimes Crowded, Reservations Sugested more

I personally think that the Prime Quarter Steak House is the best steak restaurant I have ever eaten at. It has all the right combinations of food and it is very delightful. Anyone who disagrees obviously has never eaten there. more

I love Prime Quarter, and by love I really mean love. This chain of restaurants has the best atmosphere for a business dinner, a dinner with your buddys, and a company banquet all wrapped into one. You walk up to a huge hickory grill and pick out the steak that you want to cook. All the seasonings are out there and its just man and his grill...don't pass up the opportunity! I take all my friends to one of these when they come to WI with me. Pros: Large dining area, Great food, Great atmosphere Cons: waitresses expect 15% more

It is headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, and currently has four restaurants in operation.
