Went for an exciting News Years Eve, Late seating at 9:45. The Menu was limited to ten entrees due to the capacity crowd in and out all night long; no problem, they have many wonderful entrees on the menu. I'm a long time customer and know the excellent quality standard they can attain. Until last night! We were a party of four, the wait staff seemed very impatient and pushy to get our otder: no wine or cocktail choice offered, tried to push us directly to the Entrees which we thought was a bit strange. We wanted to relax, have a drink, converse over an appetizer then on to an excellent dinner, They weren't having that! And the bread, oil and roasted garlic spread was an afterthought! Lucky we even got it. Well the food arrived with one Entree totally wrong! Ordered the excellent Lamb (pricey item at $36) what we received was a steak! No way, sent it back, waited almost 20 minutes for the Lamb and when it came out it was almost raw in places and very unevenly cooked; we had ordered medium and very light on the gorgonzola; it came smothered in cheese! Besides everyone else at the table was done eating by the time the mistaken order arrived. About the only thing I can recommend is the coffee! The "Veni, Vidi, Vici" was excellent but the dessert was stale! I'm a long time customer, when someone asks me about 5 star type restaurants Prima Vista will not be the first one to be recommended as I have in the past. To add insult to injury they did not even take the initiative to to get the owner or anyone to at least say "sorry"! If you want to spend $300 on a fine meal and excellent service you WON'T find it at Prima Vista.
Pros: Go when it's not crowded MAYBE service will be good
Cons: Go when it's not crowed MAYBE service will be good
