Happy Customer and Mom since 2006 1/2/2014

Seven and a half years ago as an infant, my first child started attending PPMA at age 8 weeks and went through pre-school there. My entire experience with PPMA was outstanding! She was very well-cared for, genuinely loved and educated to the highest standards. Five months ago I had my second child, and although my family had moved out of Plano, I knew without a doubt where I would take my baby when I had to start back to work. Many of the same teachers, including the head infant teacher, are still on staff and the owner/director welcomed us with open arms. She and her staff are like family to us. With so many hours per week in their care, I credit them for helping me raise my kids. I know my baby is in the best hands, and knowing that made going back to work so much easier. In PPMA's care, your child will be closely monitored, fed on schedule, diapered regularly, taught according to age-appropriate needs, and cared for in a clean and safe environment. Even potty training is accelerated with their diligent efforts. I honestly cannot imagine raising a child without PPMA. more

Preston Park Montessori - not a good place for kids 11/4/2012

Preston Park Montessori in Plano has been a very bad experience for my 4 years old. Kids are treated badly by the teachers, even hitting the kids is quite normal. My kids have complained almost two months now about getting slapped, hairs getting pulled getting screamed at that could have a very bad effect on the kids growth. My son had to be picked from another school from noon and their van driver screams at them to belt up so bad that they would be crying all the way. If you love your kid this is not a good place for them go to another place not worth the trauma. more

Simply the Best! 5/9/2012

Our three year-old son has attened PPMA since he was about a year and a half old and we are so pleased to have found such a wonderful school! The school is staffed by caring, kind, and loving teachers. I have watched him blossom both academically and socially under the care of PPMA's teachers and can't begin to express my gratitute for all that they do. PPMA is truly a school rather than simply a daycare. Our son knows all of his letters, he is able to count to thirty and count objects, and even knows the continents, oceans, and planets! I can't say enough good things about PPMA! The owner, Ms. Pam, and director, Ms. Reeva, are both accessable, friendly, and professional. They are very open to hearing parent concerns and handle situations quickly and efficiently. My son is happy each morning when I drop him off, and happy when I pick him up. He tells me stories about his ""adventures"" with his teachers and friends and these are always positive and sweet. His teachers did an excellent job working with us on potty training and my son now uses the potty exclusively. He even asks to go to school on the weekend! PPMA provides a loving, safe, and academically focused environment. more

SO glad we found Preston Park! 2/29/2012

Our son has been at Preston Park for over 2 years now and we could not be happier with his education. He knows the solar system, the continents, oceans, even the life cycle of a butterfly!! This is in addition to the normal letters, numbers etc. I could not be happier we are moving to uniforms in the fall. I heard a parent say once this was a daycare. She could not be more wrong. Obviously a parent who has never had a child in ""daycare."" I have and PPMA is light years ahead. PPMA is a school! Ms Pam is awesome and goes above and beyond for the students!! more

We love PPMA! 11/16/2011

All 3 of our children have attended PPMA and while we have been extremely pleased with the education they received there, the thing we have appreciated the most is the amount of love and care Ms. Pam and her staff give to the kids. The staff there truly loves children and it is evident from the moment you walk in the door. Many of the teachers have been there for years, and our youngest daughter who is 3 has had some of the same teachers that our 7 and 9 year old sons also had while they attended PPMA. My daughter loves going to school there and is excited to walk in every day! more

Both of us are working parents 11/10/2011

Just wanted to post our experience with this Montessori academy. Our daughter has been attending this academy since she was 3 months old. She is now 3 years old and it seems that every day our daughter exceeds our expectations. My wife and I both work full time jobs and are not able to spend as much time to teach her or to challenge her development. The program that Preston Park Montessori offers, involve the children in early development. Teaching them concepts, ideas, memory, association and comprehension. Not to mention that each of her teachers and the staff have always been compassionate and caring people that value each family. We are expecting another baby in March of 2012 and will be trusting Preston Park Montessori with the caring and teaching of our newest member of the family. I can truly say that Preston Park Montessori has set really high standards and I don't know that I can find a better place for my children here in Plano. An extremely pleased parent, The Moras more

Great School! 11/10/2011

My child has attended PPM for over 4 years. I've had an excellent experience and have recommended it to many friends and neighbors. They are caring and flexible and teach so many helpful things beyond the usual 3 ""R""s.\r \r I have friends and neighbors with kids in junior high who also attended PPM as infants/toddlers and they have nothing but good things to say about the school.\r \r If you really want to know about this school--do want I did: GO VISIT. Stand outside the school in the afternoon and ask parents leaving with thier kids what they think. Then you can be sure of the source as being accurate information as opposed to some of the vulgar 'reviews' posted on this site. more

My kids and i absolutely love this school 11/9/2011

Hi,\r \r My kid has been attending this school for more than couple of years now and she absolutely loves the school and her teachers. During last couple of years she has learned to read, write and do simple math problems. I am very happy with her progress. The teachers and staff have been very courteous. I am also very happy with the quality of management at this school, be it in terms of how parents are treated, finances or any other communication. I also like the way management treats each and every kid and track their progress from month to month. I love the freedom of going to the school anytime that i wish and checking on my kid. I would happily recommend this school to anyone looking for a great montessori school for their precious ones. more

Benefits are immeasurable 3/1/2011

Our children both started at PPMA when they were about three months old. Our oldest is now 4 1/2 and we feel like we made an excellent choice for our children's early education. Ms. Pam, Ms. Heena, the entire staff and all the teachers consistently provide quality care and education for our kids. The real difference will be noticed when they start in PISD. And, based on the skills they already have, we look forward to seeing how advanced they will be. The staff is very open to feedback, praise and criticism. They always address any concerns we have, promptly and thoroughly. And then follow-up to make sure everyone is happy. And, finally, one of the biggest reasons we love PPMA...because our kids do! They look forward to going to school - something any parent would love to instill at this age - and they look forward to learning daily about new cultures, new concepts and new friends. We would like to thank Ms. Pam for establishing such a great facility and maintaining it with such high standards. more

Knew it was the place the moment I walked in! 10/8/2009

I enrolled my son at 11 months after I had one visit into PPMA. I knew this was the place. The teachers are very attentive and my son loves it there. It's clean, safe, the food is healthy, and I find that the curriculum is fantastic. He is now 18 months and he sits at a chair, eats from his own plate, and his vocabulary is flourishing. Thanks PPMA for making me feel at ease while I'm at work. Pros: attentive, safe, healthy food, excellent activities, caring more

A Fantastic Place! 8/31/2009

My son and daughter started PPMA 2 months ago, and we can only say wonderful things about it. I love the focus on academics and structure while still maintaining a fun environment. My 3 1/2 year old son is writing his name and my 1 year old daughter is sitting at a table and eating off a plate. They provide lots of love and nurturing for all the children. Both my children are happy, loved and well cared for. As a parent, these are the things that matter to me and PPMA excels at all of them. Pros: Professional, Nurting, Academic, Fun more

My daughter loves this school! 8/12/2009

The moment I walked in the door for a tour, I felt comfortable. My daughter began at the age of 4 months and she is now 2 years, 4 months. She loves her teachers! She looks forward to going to school and talks about it when she is home. As a Plano teacher myself, I find that comforting. I was not familiar with the montessori curriculum, but I see how much my child is learning at such a young age that I am beginning to learn more myself. I will have an infant son soon and he will start in the fall. I have every confidence that he is in good hands. While it is hard to leave your infant, I see how much they learn as they grow and I couldn't be happier. Not to mention that my daughter is happy. I would recommend this facility to my family and friends. It is encouraging to be able to go in and drop off/pick up my child and see the teachers actively engaged with the children (on the floor). I do wish there was a lower teacher:child ratio in the infant room and would like to see more holding than babies in their bouncy seat or crib/swing, but I guess you have to look at the big picture. They are certainly in a caring environment. Pros: friendly staff, directors, owner; rules/expectations; clean; Cons: teacher:child ratio more

Excellent Curriculum 8/2/2009

I enrolled my son in PPM & PCM in April 09 and a number of things stood out right away. The staff was professional, nuturing and friendly. The lesson plan for my son's classroom was structured and carefully planned with activities throughout the day. The children were sitting, participating and not all over the classroom. My son is always excited about his day. The lessons include but not limited to: Planets, Continents, Numbers in Spanish and Japanese, Animals, Shapes, Vowels and Arts and Crafts. I knew my son was in the right school when I walked into the classroom and he was sitting during circle time. There was always a problem with circle time at the other schools. I have come to the conclusion that a structured class taught by a confident teacher get the students attention. PPM & PCM is a great school for any child that has a hunger to learn. If you are looking for a school that offers a loving and nurturing environment, A+ education PPM and PCM is the school for your child. Ms Pam and the staff at PPM & PCM are awesome with the children. I am thankful to everyone at this school, I have seen a awesome turnaround the few months my son has attended PPM & PCM. Keep up the good work and PPM & PCM will be No. 1 in Plano!!!! Pros: Great School and Superb Staff more

Excellent Environment for Fun, Laughter, and Learning 7/20/2009

My two sons absolutely love PPMA, and so do their parents! The atmosphere is professional, warm, caring, compassionate, and educational. Ms. Pam, Ms. Heena, Ms. Janette, and Ms.Sayeeda know all of the parents and children by name, so safety and security are present. The facility is clean and organized, just like the classrooms. My children run to the hugs of the administrative staff and teachers each day; they can't wait to see them! The teachers are professional and well-trained, guiding and teaching children in everything from daily manners and social skills to lessons about tornadoes and volcanoes. Everyday is exciting for our entire family! The lower elementary classroom focuses on social skills, Montessori work, and math, science, social studies, and reading skills and concepts. I have been amazed with the work my son has produced. He has a tremendous amout of respect for the teachers in his classroom, and they respect his needs through their teaching techniques and daily activities. My younger son's teachers are also phenomenal. At the age of three, he is already working with Montessori projects, and he surprises me with the stories he shares regarding daily events. He specifically loves storytime and art projects. All teachers truly care about building a framework for children through consistent discipline, age-appropriate expectations, and authentic learning opportunities. As always, there must be discipline, and each time discipline has been handled with dignity and understanding for each individual child. Due to transportation issues, our family recently had to leave PPMA. What a sad day! However, the caring spirit of PPMA continues because we have received two phone calls from PPMA to check on our family. Ms. Pam and her entire staff really care about children. more

Safe, Clean loving environment 6/9/2009

My daughter started at Preston Park Montessori at 12 weeks old September 2003, she is now a Kindergartner at All Saints Catholic school, the Montessori teaching she received while at Preston Park Montessori has really given her a good foundation as she starts her academic life.\r My Son and youngest daughter also started at PPMA at 12 weeks old, and also receive the same caring and love from the staff at Preston Park.\r The school is a very clean, Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack is provided to all kids one and older, the caregivers, teachers are all very helpful and loving. Pros: Safe, Clean loving environment more

QUITE SATISFIED 12/23/2008

My daughter has been going to this school since she was 18-months old (now she is 3 1/2 years old). I particularly wanted to thank the management and the teachers because they keep the school open, as much as they could. Most daycares have been closed since Monday, December 22nd. What can you do, if you have to go to work? I appreciate this service. Also, I want to say something about the quality of their service and care. I have to admit that in the past there were things that I complained about. And the management listened to my feedback and handled the problem. I think it is important that they are open to feedback. But actually, the strongest assurance comes from my daughter: She not only goes to school happily, but also she comes home and does ""role playing"" every single day (seriously, God help us all!). So, she imitates and plays at home whatever happens that day at school. So, I can follow everything, and I have not observed anything -even slightly - disturbing or bothering. On the contrary: I only observe the acts of loving teachers and caregivers. She even acts the moments of ""discipline"", which involves a conversation with Miss Pam(as my daughter mimics), but nothing else. I do not think that there could be a better feedback than her little play. Since my daughter started to play this game, I feel particularly better about this school. I would recommend the school to other parents. Thank you, PPMA! more

Best West Plano Day care and Montessori 11/18/2008

My daughter started at Preston Park Montessori at 8 months and my son as afterschooler. I cannot remember a time when my daughter was sick , had a diaper rash or I had to be really concerned about how she is taken care of throughout the day.Ms Pam and her staff including Ms Heena and Ms Sayyeeda are constantly on top of things at this academy. They answer every single question, take care of every single issue (if you have one!) .The culture is extremely loving and affectionate for the child and highly customer service oriented and proactive for the parents - a perfect combination for working parents whose children spend atleast 10 hours with caregivers every week day.The facility boasts of immaculately planned and decorated classrooms, playground, advanced toys for every age, high quality Montessori material and most importantly very very caring teachers. They have a full time cook on site and fresh breakfast, lunch and snacks are served to the children of all ages.I have also noticed teachers serving juice/water from time to time to kids playing outside to keep them well hydrated. These are the sort of things you look for in your caregivers and they have it!The afterschoolers are always entertained by books, games or visits to funplaces. The school is open from 6:30am to 6:30pm for the convenience of parents who have long commuting time unlike area Montessories who open later and charge you extra if you have to drop them early. The management is also considerate of parents who might be late once in a while.Ms Pam goes above and beyond a business relationship and helps out the parents in every possible way. They also provide after hours service for holiday weekends etc for a very nominal charge. If you are a working mother/father and looking for peace of mind regarding your daycare needs and kid's early education, enroll your child at Preston Park Montessori.Thank you Ms Pam for the fantastic 2 1/2 yrs! Wish you all the best. Pros: Caring and considerate staff and management, quality educational materials, fresh food, lots of fun for kids in early educational years Cons: none more

Very Satisfied 9/29/2008

I'm an elementary school principal and I'm very particular about the place where my son receives his care and instruction. Although he is only two, learning starts at an early age. I'm beyond satisfied with Ms. Pam and her staff. The environment is very positive and the learning is curriculum based. The staff sets high expectations and the children are taught how to accomplish those task by hands on learning and constant praise. The care he receives makes us wish they had a location in McKinney! With knowledgeable teachers and a dedicated staff, not only will you be satisfied with this facility, you will wonder what took you so long to find it. Pros: Curriculum Based Cons: None to date. more

Infant to 5yrs- BEST CAREGIVERS, BEST TEACHERS, BEST ENVIRONMENT 7/14/2008

My daughter has been going to PPMA since she was 2 months old and is 2 1/2 now. PPMA was by far the nicest, the cleanest, the most friendly, and the best value.\r \r Leaving your precious infant with anyone you do not know is extremely difficult (to say the least), but Ms Pam and her staff make the experience a non-issue. I was completely comfortable leaving my infant daughter with Ms Amy each morning. She's such a wonderful, loving person who genuinely adores babies. \r \r My daughter progressed through the age-appropriate rooms, based on her abilities and not limited to age-related constraints. I think there's nothing more stifling to a child's development than to stop challenging them because they aren't old enough to move to the next level. Ms Pam and her staff have really set up the rooms to allow a great amount of flexibility during the early years of varied development; knowing that each child learns differently and develops at different rates.\r \r I couldn't possibly say more about how the children are taught discipline, manners, and consideration for others. They learn please, thank you, sharing, etc. before they can walk- it's amazing. There is no corporal punishment, just love and structured/consistent/fair discipline. Children are treated the same for unacceptable behavior. The very worst is being sent to Ms Pam or Ms Samena up front... eek! \r \r But the absolute best thing about PPMA is that my daughter LOVES it!! Every day she is excited to go to school, she loves her teachers, she's transitioned easily from one class to the next (so you know it's not just one/two teachers, she's been in 6 classrooms now), she talks about her day, what's she's learning, and her teachers. There was a time when she was upset because she couldn't go to school and had to stay with me (weekends!).\r \r Walk into a room of 2yr olds and hear them all say in unison- ""Good Morning "", and you will know your child is in a great place. Pros: VERY clean, AMAZING staff, fun activities, excellent curiculi Cons: I haven't found any more
