In-patient, out-patient & education classes 8/28/2006

In the past months both my husband and I have had the need for a number of services including CT Scans, Angioplasty, Blood Work, and Diabetic education classes. Every department was courteous and well tuned into the emotions and feelings as the various tests and procedures were performed as well as having a positive work relationship with the attending physician. The education staff was also great. No fluff- just dedicated care and concern with the desire to help the patient cope and be comfortable with their condition by providing clear and usable information. I would not hesitate to recommend or use Provena St. Joseph's again. more

Terrible care! 11/20/2005

We took our son here for a cut on his finger, and they weren't even able to accomplish a simple task of bandaging him up! the nurses were not wearing gloves, and seemed to have no clue what they were doing! After spending an agonizing hour and a half there, we returned home, and my husband was able to do a better job of bandaging him up than they were! I will never return there! more

Good patient care 8/14/2005

Provena Saint Joseph Hospital is located on Elgin's west side. Some of the hospital has undergone renovations and they have just received approval for more. A doctor's building is attatched which makes it easy to get your lab work done right away. The staff has always been helpful and courteous. The lab techs try to get you in and out as quickly as possible. more
