Premier Ambulette Transportation

This is a good company. 95% of drivers are professional, courteous, and above all, genuinely friendly. Jake, the manager is truly hands-on, and if there's ever a problem, it's taken care of quickly, and swiftly. However, there's a caveat: I only got to know the manager after 4 months of verbal abuse by the dispatchers (I'd never had medicaid transportation before, I assumed there was only one at the time) I've been threatened, told if I don't answer my phone when they call, I'll never get picked up again, yelled at, to the point of outrage. A complaint to my insurance company about the service led me to Jake, the manager, and never had a horrendous occurrence with them again. For transportation services, now that managed Medicaid is taking over as the other reviewer wrote, has been rather bumpy; forcing transportation services to juggle more and more customers in one trip. Addendum: When I refused to change this review, to a more glowing one, and add more stars, the manager requested I try another ambulette company as a comparison before returning to Premier. more

I suspect the 5 star review may have been written from inside management to counter the negative review. With that being said, I use Premier all the time. All the vans are exceptionally clean, and in top condition. The drivers are exceptional. Courteous, patient, and do their best, especially with the added pressure due to the present switch over to managed medicaid, a nightmare for all. There are one or two bad eggs, but that's everywhere. But 95% are above and beyond. IF you should happen to get a 5 percenter, a call to Jake, the manager there will take care of that. Speaking of management and dispatchers - Jake, the overall manager, is awesome. Accommodating to one's needs, and will go out of his way to help. The one bug has to do with some of the dispatchers, namely any friends or relatives of the owner, who I believe is from India. They've been known to be curt, even abusive, at times. I think the other reviewer had the unpleasant experience of dealing with them. It's true, when management is not around, these inmates can run the asylum. In fact, The only reason why I didn't give Premier 5 stars is due to those dispatchers. I write this only for other potential victims to be warned of the rude, abusive dispatchers. But, should you have this experience - one call to Jake will take care of it, so don't let those reflect on your experience. Sadly, this is the only problem standing between Premier as a 5 star company, and the present 3 star, in this reviewer's experienced opinion. If they're sacked, then Premier would leave the competition in the dust. more
