Best

I love, love Prego's! I always get the Veal special, the mac and cheese is like grandma used to make and the sauteed crab fingers are excellent when they have them. I always sit a...

Worst

Incredibly crowded...service was ok. Hostess' looked distracted and weren't even doing their job. \r Food wasn't the best i've had.\r All in all I just wasn't that impressed nor...

Stuffy 12/6/2002

Somewhat of a stuffy atmosphere - no music, small setting, crowded and non-romantic. Felt like an ""italian cafeteria"" - great food though! Wine list needs an overhaul - very limited and they don't keep the red wine at the correct storage temperatures. The bar waiting area is too small, too crowded and lacks ambiance completely. Great for lunch - ONLY. Pros: Entrees, Desserts, Location Cons: Wine List, Bar Setting Area, Romance more

GREAT! 10/6/2002

This is a very good place if you want to have a nice quiet talk with a friend or a group of friends. The food is excellent, the dessert is great. Definitely a place to go back for seconds. more

Prego Performs! 8/6/2002

Having been a regular for several years, we love the friendly, neighborhood feel of this bistro like restaurant. The food is consistently good, with a varied wine list that accomodates all pocketbooks. The bartender and waiters always seem to remember us, and the service is efficient without being intrusive. Agree with previous reviewers that it would be nice to see more variety in the specials, and YES - bring back those delicious breadsticks (although the bread basket is very good). Pros: Good wine list, Delicious food, Attentive service Cons: Can be noisy, Smokey from kitchen more

Small Package! Great Big Taste! 7/29/2002

I have been eating at Prego's for several year now and not once have I ever been let down. John, the owner, is always willing to come greet his guest and make sure they are taken care of, all of the staff are very formal and professional and they take care of there patrons! The food however is superb!!!!! MMMMM..MMMMM GOOD . . . Campbell's doesn't have anything on them, as a matter of fact no one does. Try the Parmigian Crusted Chicken . . . or the Ravioli's ... are your taste bud's watering yet??!! Pros: Modern, Excellent FOOD, Great Ambience Cons: Small, Bad Parking, Crowded more

No Better 7/24/2002

Great food, friendly staff, great wine list very good service. A regular for 12 years. Always consistant more

Again and again 7/7/2002

Prego is consistantly a great place to eat. The food is good and the service is great; ask for Israel! The only negatives are: the off the menu specials are not really special -- they are the same almost any night you go. Also, the smoke from the kitchen can overtake the dining room and make you smell like Prego after you leave. We go often (at least once per week!) and have a good experience everytime. Try the parmesan crusted chicken. Pros: food, service Cons: smoke from kitchen, parking more
