Real doctors who care - An excellent practice and cannot say enough about the level of professionalism and time taken every time I see my doctor. Dr. Carbajo is by far the best physician and truly cares. This practice is all about the money. Patient care is based on what they can bring in off the patient. The girl who takes the calls for appointments is very rude and condescending. Find another doctor who actually cares about the patient not just billable services. more

Due to the way that this doctor's office bills insurance, I would not recommend this to any Beaumont Employees. While routine exams should be covered by Beaumont insurance at no cost to the employee, the way this doctor's office bills the exams (particularly the ""Know Your Numbers"" program), they will not be covered as they should be if anything out of the ordinary is detected (example: elevated cholesterol).\r \r In talking with the office manager of this location, I was told that insurance billing comes down to a ""crap shoot"", as they don't know how a patient's insurance is going to react to the way the doctor's office billed it.\r \r In discussions with Beaumont Insurance, 3 separate individuals said that Preferred Family Medicine was billing these exams incorrectly.\r \r If you are a Beaumont Employee (or if you get reduced/free routine exams through your insurance), I would pick a different doctor's office. more

GREAT Doctors.... DOCTORS........not sure about the PA's very friendly front office staff ..... They do NOT accept faxes from Pharmacies for refills... I don't understand why, but just takes longer to get refills of your scripts.... Seems the more ""modern and connected"" they get, the slower they get dealing with the Pharmacy.. Other than that quirk, Dr. Alan Carbajo is the BEST!! more

Great doctors who take time with their patients. This might require a short wait in the waiting room, but when it is your turn, you have a doctor who will give you all the time you need. They are very thorough, and in my experience have never missed anything for me or my family. We trust our lives to Dr. Weisman. The office staff is friendly and very professional. This is a great medical office. more

Preferred Family Medicine sets the standard in family practice. Besides always being accommodating, their cutting edge technology and quality of care are second to none. I trust my life and my family's lives to Dr. Weisman and would have it no other way. I truly feel like part of the family. more

I'm not typically one to write reviews online, especially for things which I am not an expert at. Clearly none of us are able to truly attest to the level of medical expertise and talent at this office, but what I can share is the level of professionalism, kindness, and care that they all exude. I have been going to this office for my entire life. I bring my children here as my parents brought me. What I can say is that the doctors at this office are among the best I could imagine and certainly among the best in Detroit. They are thoughtful, courteous and true lifesavers. Personally I have not had bad experiences with their billing department nor with their waiting room. What I can say, though, is that if thats what it sometimes takes to know that you will be treated by some of Detroits best then I would gladly sit and wait my turn on a busy day. I have seen this office grow over time. Businesses grow and sometimes this means there are growing pains that people like us have to deal with. Bottom line, I would rather entrust my families health with doctors that I know and trust and ones who are able to actually grow their business at a time when many practices are really hurting. They must be doing something right. And I can attest to that. more

My family has been under the care of PFM going on three generations now. On more than one occasion they have literally saved family members' lives. What most amazes me about this practice is their incredible diagnostic abilities. Most recently, my daughter had been seen by a thyroid specialist outside the PFM offices. That office completely missed the large growth on my daughter's thyroid. We went back to PMG for further analysis. Because PFM listened to my daughter's complaints and went the extra mile, a large nodule was discovered that required a biopsy. Thank God the results came back benign. However, had we listened to the ""specialist"" the growth very likely would have gotten bigger and she could have been at greater risk for something far more serious. She is being watch by the PFM staff closely now. In addition, PFM expedited the biopsy process and cut down on the time my daughter had to wait and worry. Needless to say PFM is at the top of my list of all my health care providers. From the administrators to the nursing staff, from the PAs to the doctors, to a person everyone on staff PFM extends the care, knowledge and compassion that any patient could want or hope for. more

Over time I've always found the doctors excellent, offering complete explanations of both causes of a condition and treatment options.\r \r They have my confidence. more

I have been going to Preferred Family Medicine my entire life (28 years) and have experienced nothing but exceptional service and care from the Doctors and Nurses. Not only am I able to get in for an appointment in a timely fashion, I rarely wait more than a few minutes in the waiting room. The Doctors listen, take time to explain procedures, etc. and I always leave feeling like the problem or issue I came in with has been solved. I recommend Preferred Family Medicine to all of my friends and will continue to do so in the future! more

Ok, in all fairness, the one doctor we saw one time seems to be good. BUT the nightmare is wih their Billing Depts' organizational skills and apparently their front desk and a few nurses. If you try to defend your position with sound argument you will get hung up on and not allowed to speak to an Office Manager. Instead you will receive a call fron the founding Doctor politely telling you to take a hike. Funny since we already stated we weren't coming back. Even funnier because he is no doubt very removed from the issues, including erroneous billing diagnostics to Beaumont. more

Long waiting in lobby and then in the rooms. Not like it used to be. If you have kids, find somewhere else....can't take my whole afternoon/morning up sitting there. It turned into a money machine in the last few years with the expansion and it lost its personal feel. If this is the future of medical, we are all in big trouble. more

They will not verify coverage from your insurance.\r They will bill for services that you did not ask for - will insist on a pre visit before they will even consider giving you appt for physicals\r They are off bet 1 and 2 pm and will not even pick up phone or inform that they are on break - keep holding\r You sign that you pay for THEIR charges above & beyond bills covered by insurance,\r \r There are better people elsewhere -Just anywhere else! more

Dr. Tara Caduill-Deaton is the best Dr. in the Detroit metro area I would highly recommend her to anyone. Pros: convient location right on interstate more

I have been completely satisfied with the entire office from the first call i made i knew this was the place for me. The receptionist listen to me and actually spent the time asking me questions. I was on the phone with her for at least 20 minutes. When i arrived at my first appointment everyone was professional and friendly, I was plesantly surprised at the high level of professionalisim and how comfortable they made me feel. I did not have to wait more than a few minutes to get back into the room and waiting for the Doctor was minimual. My last Dr.'s office I knew if i had an appointment that i'd better make it on my day off becuase i'd be there at least 3 hours for a routine appointment. I was gretted in a very positive and kind way by the Dr herself and she actully took the time to tell me about herself. I would and have recommended Dr. Caduill-Deaton to many already. I feel like i actully count and i'm not just a number in the revolving door of many patients where they just say ""next"". THEY LISTEN AND CARE AT THIS PLACE HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Pros: plenty of parking, convient right off of 1-75, service is great Cons: none known more
