Appearances are decieving 3/22/2010

Good: They get to your work quickly (because they have relatively few people waiting for their services). They are polite (unless you disagree with them). The shop is spotlessly clean (I don't know what this has to do with doing a good repair job, but it is nice). Bad: They do not back up their work. If they do the work and it is not done to your liking or the problem was not fixed, they will not go back and get it right. The only option with them is to do more work (with more and more charges). They are just as likely to just do the work without your consent which gives the appearance of dishonesty,. Improvements: I would like to see them complete the job without adding more and more charges. I would like to speak with them before they change the work order. And, I would like to see them accurately diagnose a problem and actually fix it as they said.. Other: If you have a problem of any type more than just the most rudamentary oil change, DON'T GO HERE. The only reason I went here more than once was because I had to use a provider on the WA state "approved" list. My experiences here were not good. If you want the job done right, the first time, with no shady undertones, go up the street to UP Tire and Auto.. more

I brought my car to Precision to have an inline fuel pump replaced for an intermittent problem.By the time they finished with my vehicle, alot more charges were added to the work, totaling over $1300 dollars and the previous problem still exists.I'm now in small claims court.N.Mitchell more

It was ok. 2/19/2007

Brought it a coupon for 169. They said I didn't need new plugs and they didn't need to do all the services. Great, right? Nope, they tagged on a number of charges because I needed special coolant, it's a v6, and countless other items. It sounded like it was going to be far under 169, but ended up being above $300! Ridiculous. I will not be back. more

I'm impressed 3/19/2006

I missed my LOF at Larson's and had the window of opportunity to get it done, so I drove in to this place as a fluke stop. I pass it every time I go down that way on Bridgeport and thought, what the heck, I can get it done here this one time, and the coffee shop is right next door. I was SO impressed by this shop. HUGE, clean, and a VERY nice staff. They were so very nice to me and my baby. Lots of good rapport building, not the fake kind, but the nice, real kind. They spec'd out my van, let me know what they thought needed some service. I was impressed by this as well, since it was not what I was expecting from a "cheap" LOF. These people are not cheap people - they are high quality, caring businesspeople. Their store is next to spotlessly clean, and they are very helpful and quick. I was shocked because normally when you go into a low-cost LOF place, they're usually scummy, mean and take too long. These Precision Tune folks are the opposite. I would not hesitate to go back there if I miss another LOF appointment at Larson's. Highly recommended. more
