Prairie View Animal Hospital is Great! 7/23/2009

I take both of my cats to Prairie View. The staff is very professional and really knowledgeable. They are great with the animals also. Perhaps the best part is the reasonable pricing. I've had exams, shots and neutering gone there. I definitely recommended them! more

They Cared When My Boon Companion Was Dying 11/11/2007

The Dr.s and staff took very good care of my cat, Molly, when she was dying. I had taken her to the vet in Sycamore when she first started losing weight. The vet there told me to put food down for only 15 minutes in the morning and again at night and that would teach her not to be fussy. I explained she was losing weight and she had never been a fussy eater. He repeated the same thing. I know my pet better. The vets at Prairie View took my concerns seriously, thought I knew what I was talking about and had her tested. Kidney disease. They spent a lot of time answering my questions, let me cry on their shoulders and really made me feel like she was in good hands. When I brought her in to be put to sleep, a heart-wrenching decision, they gave me time with her, did not rush me, treated us with the utmost kindness and compassion. They made a horrible experience bearable. The entire staff was kind and the tech who took her for a periodic blood draw to check the progression of her more

Turned away my sick dog! 7/21/2007

I know it is sometimes hard to get a walk-in apt. at any vet, but when animals get sick the Vet should make exceptions. I took my tiny 2 month old puppy in early in the morning (I was the first and ONLY client there) because I knew he was sick and they turned me away, saying they could get me in later on in the week! I could not believe that they were saying this too me! They told me that there was NO way anyway that anyone in the area would take me and help my puppy. I left right away and drove about 1 mile to Bethany Animal and they put me in a room right away! I will never go back to Prairie, they did not even care about my sick puppy! more

A great animal hospital! 11/8/2005

Prairie View Animal Hospital is a nice place to take your pets to when in need. The staff is very well trained and they genuinely care about the welfare of your pets. I take my dog there whenever there is a problem with him ( and that happens a lot!). The docs know their job and Timmy loves to go to the vet. The place has a very good design and looks like a proper hospital. more
