Best

The vets, staff, and facility are top rate. I am confident that no Animal Hospital can top Glymont A.H.. Everyone is professional, caring, and goes the extra mile for any and all ...

Worst

We first took my Sheltie, Cheyenne, to Glymont Animal Hospital when Dr. Watkins owned the practice. He was amazingly patient and good with her, despite her being rather skittish. ...

Poor communication/"busy" doctors at every turn. 7/17/2008

I just called 20 minutes ago and they told me my 6 month old guinea pig had passed away during the night. Why didn't they call ME? I knew he was ill and I was searching for HOURS for a clinic that treated them - if I had known they were so "busy," unhelpful, and so unwilling to communicate - you had to really press the receptionist to even find what type of medication they were putting your pet on, and those who said they would call back never did - I would have just let him die at home with me. I feel awful enough already, and they were not what they should have been - they also don't have overnight care, so Timothy died alone. more

Former employee 1/2/2008

I worked here for 3 years under Dr. Watkins up until the day he retired. It was my first job and watching Doc work was very educational and interesting, and he had a real connection with his clients as most of them had been coming there for years, decades in some cases. When he sold the practice all of us left with him, I haven't been back since. I've only heard negative things about the person he sold it to which was also the main reason we all left when he did. It's been a little over 3 years since then so maybe it's different now, but I take my cat to the clinic in Waldorf. more

Avoid this place 6/22/2007

It's expensive and all they are concerned with is getting your cash. When Dr Watkins had this place it was the best but since he retired this place has gone completely down hill. The last time I took my dog in the place was filthy (as was the front desk "dude"). He was rude and loud mouthed. I will never take my animal there again. more

Nice Place 5/25/2007

My dog has been going to Glymont Veterinary Clinic for 2 years now. The prices are reasonable and the people are friendly. I would not take my dog anywhere else. more

My experience with this Clinic 4/20/2007

I have a 10 year old dog who means a lot to me. I started taking her to this clinic about 6 years ago when I moved to this area. She developed a cyst that was growing fast on her eye which was uncomfortable to her and also very unbecoming. She is scared of going to the doctor like a lot of animals. They examined her on the floor and the vet even drew blood with her standing up and the vet sitting on the floor. This helped make Brandy more comfortable. They were caring, helped to keep the cost down and made Brandy have some more years of quality of life. I have an 8 week old puppy who will visit them for the first time next week. more

Didn't discuss side effects- killed my cat 6/2/2006

Usually when you go to a vet, they want to give you shots to help your pet. Thinkng that this was the case, I took my cat in for shots, and he was dead a month later. Then I found out that they should have tested him for leukemia BEFORE giving him the feline leukemia shot. Needless to say they will never see my pets again. All this only cost me about $400. PROS: Expensive CONS: Dead pet more
