FAVORITE Lunch spot 10/12/2007

My husband and I visit Potato Valley once a week. The potatoes are original and delicious. He's partial to the marinated cuban chicken potato. It's toppped with a chile lime sour cream, veggies, lettuce, slices of mango and cucumber, and imported danish onions. I have five favorites: The Texas salsa; Veggie Curry; Artichoke with green chiles and cottage cheese; Broccoli, blue cheese, and cheddar; and Spinach, feta, and roasted garlic. The staff is friendly and since they cater to the lunch crowd they are pretty quick. Since the begining of October they are open till 6pm too. Pros: Great food, filling, friendly service. Cons: none as far as I'm concerned more

Very Good Lunch Spot 6/21/2007

In the downtown business district, the lunch options are pretty slim. This place was pleasant surprise. The menu offers enough variety to satisfy the picky eaters in any group and you won't become quickly fatigued with the food choices. The food is simple, but done well. The sandwhiches are of decent size and good quality. The potatoes are oustanding, though. They're big and absolutely brimming with toppings. My favorite is the chicken curry, but the chicken with bacon and cheddar is a close second. Perhaps the best part of this place, though, is that it is clean. The staff are clean and friendly, the dining area is open and well-maintained, and the customer base is professional. Overall, it is just a good place for a quick, decent lunch. The only downside is the price. For food of this nature, I would be most comfortable paying around $7 for a potato and drink. Generally, you'll pay about $9 for a lunch here. It's not outrageous, but enough to make you wince every time. Pros: Food quality, menu variety, cleanliness Cons: price more
