Some of the employees act put out if you ask them a question. Which is kind of hilarious because I have bought THREE guitars from them over the last few years and whenever I come in, i'm spending money on something. Dealing with people in Music Stores like Portland Music and Apple makes me want to start shopping via Musician's Friend or Amazon. Oh well. Their loss! Because of the poor customer service, I recommend going elsewhere. more

Nice staff, decent selection 5/7/2011

I made a major purchase here and the guy who sold my my instrument sent me a thank you card. That's just good business! I went back for pedals and was also treated very well by a different employee. No machismo attitude. Being a female musician in front of a bunch of crudely named pedals can be a little akward, but the guys here were friendly and not pushy. I tell everybody to go here. Now just take down the sign above the register that says ""your wife called, she said you can buy whatever you want."" I don't have a wife, and If I was married, I wouldn't care what my husband bought. this isn't 1950. more

Having just purchase my Telecaster I always wanted, I have to say the sale was clean, precise, friendly, and funny. Felt no pressure to buy, always a good time trying on guitars...great advice....no up selling. I got what I wanted. This is my 8th guitar purchase and I have to say, I keep returning to PMC because of their professional experience.. they know the game and they have product knowledge...dedicated staff... more

Horrible music store, Never go there, Avoid at all cost, and you'll have a better day. 5/19/2008

I've tried being friendly with the staff there, but its not worth it. The only reason I had gone there a couple times is that its the closest place to buy strings. The first bad experience was during what I thought was my transaction taking place when in mid sentence the old guy walks away from me to go bulls**t with some other staff member and I waited for about 5 mintues for him to ring me up. Second bad experience, and this takes the cake. So, during this transaction I'm thrown into a confusing situtation. Should I get extremly p*ssed off and start yelling or just rolling along with the fact that these people are ridiculous. I'll explain, after showing my ID to this guy, he makes a racial slur that was horrible and didn't even pertain to my ethnicity and then goes on about what I was wearing in my ID photo and then imples that I probably didn't have the girls chasing after. He then goes on to tell me that he likes what I was wearing that day and that he thought it was much better. Well, thank you douche! You summed up what I've always joked about involving the music community, or society itself and that there are probably 2% of people who get 'IT' and you are not one of them. Pros: nope. Cons: the whole thing. more
