Pooler City Police Dept

As I was driving through Pooler on Highway 80 on my way to Savannah, I passed a wreck and was detoured into a parking lot; however I just turned out of it to get back on 80. A few miles later, some cops were detouring drivers onto another road, one with which I am not familiar. I am not from Pooler/Savannah, so I decided to ask if there was a way to get back to highway 80. I rolled down my window (I was still moving, and there were very few cars behind or around me). I asked a female officer, ""Hi, could you tell me if there is a way to get back to 80?"" Her response was to wildly flail her arms about, screaming ""GOOOO!!!! GOOOO!!!! MOOOOOOOVE!!!!"" I looked at the man next to her, also a cop. I asked him the same question. He also flailed his arms and did not even say anything to me. I said, ""Oh, so you're just going to ignore me? Well thanks so much for your help!"" and drove on. I should have realized not to ask them a simple question because they were screaming and doing the same behaviors to a red car two cars ahead of me but I didn't realize that person was receiving such humiliating treatment for asking a simple question. The behavior of these police makes me not want to drive through Pooler anymore. I''ll opt for Interstate 16 next time I go to Savannah. more

protect and serve is what i thought was the slogan...i can say that i dont feel either i am very upset at the way our local police treat people they act as if its a bother if they have to respond to a call there rude and disrespectful why is it ok that they can be rude and disrespectful to people and degrate people i have 4 kids and my youngest 17 and 19 had a few run ins nothing major just kids being kids and every time there rude and dirty mouths. there officers of the law im not an unfit mom as what i was called bye one of our finest.even at there ages i still call them every hour and go out and ride around several times a day checking on them to make sure there not doing what there not suppose to be doing im a mom thats what i do and to have to waste there time on a call is wronge i think not. im a tax payer as like every one else and i should feel as like they say protect and serve well i dont and thats sad if you cant count on them then who can you count on. Pros: the good thing protrolling your neighborhood cause they dont have to get out of the car Cons: dirty mouths yelling and disrespecting you cause they had to respond to a call more
