Best Music Store In Cumming 4/23/2012

Ponce De Leon is the best music store hands down. I've been to many other shops and Ponce is the only store out there that is honest and knows their stuff. I also have been taking guitar lessons here for 2 years. My teacher is amazing and has over 30 years of experience. I highly recommend Ponce De leon for any one with music needs:) more

Hometown music shop 2/14/2012

Ponce De Leon beats the mega-stores at their own game. They have a great selection and everything is priced competitively but the big advantage is that they are locally owned and act like neighbors - because they are. They are very knowledgeable about all kinds of instruments and equipment but it's more like talking to your buddy rather than a salesperson. more

One of my favorite music stores in Cumming! 1/15/2012

This is the perfect music store for the novice, the professional and anyone in between. I wasn't even aware it existed until I had to have his saxophone repaired and this was the only place in town that could do it. As I didn't know where this place was, I called them up as I was on my way and spoke to a nice guy who helped me with directions until I arrived at the door. Check one! Upon entering for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised by its size and the amount of equipment on sale there. Check two! I then spoke with the owner who was honest and straightforward when it came to what was wrong with and what was needed for my son's saxophone. She quoted the approximate cost to make the repairs, gave me a loaner in the meantime and two weeks later when I received the instrument, it was in excellent condition and I wasn't charged a penny more than what was stated in the original quote. Check three! I returned yesterday to find a certain book and a nut for my son's guitar and was helped by the owner. Again, she was extremely helpful as she did an internet search to try to find the book for me since they didn't have it in stock and then recommended the right nut for my son's guitar. It's the little things that matter to me and because she was trying to sale me anything beyond what I came in for, I am most grateful! I highly recommend this place to anyone. more

This is an amazing store with everything you need, great service, and instructors who truly know their instrument. If your looking for a teacher, any kind of equipment, or just some info on something music related this is a great place to go. more

Great Music Store 10/11/2011

Our two daughters have been taking piano and guitar lessons there for many years. The teachers are fabulous and we couldn't be happier! The store owner is genuinely nice. She's very supportive of the community. We run a non-profit that offers guitar lessons to low-income children. She sold us guitars at a discount, and one of the guitar teachers volunteers every week to teach. All the staff are friendly and courteous and very customer focused. We highly recommend Ponce De Leon. more

What an amazing store!!! They're awesome!!! 10/10/2011

First of all, I really have no idea where all the negative reviews are coming from, they have been nothing but friendly and courteous every time I have been in the store, so please people don't listen to those negative reviews, they are utterly wrong. Now to the praise, they probably have more guitars in stock than any Guitar Center I have ever been in. There are no duplicates here either, unlike other stores just trying to fill their walls, there is something here for everyone and they will work with you if you need a little brake. Always shop locally and please support small business. ROCK!!! more

What a horrible store! 7/2/2011

I went in to buy a set of strings. While I was looking I heard the two idiots at the front counter making fun of a paying customer who had just left - a person who had just given them money and they were making fun of him? That was bad enough. There was a short haired blonde lady who worked there and when I asked her a question about which strings I should buy she looked at me like I was stupid and walked away. These are not good people. I will never go back there and highly recommend that nobody else does either! These a_holes need to be shut down! more

Customer is not #1 there. 11/17/2010

I bought a cord there, it made some noise onstage, I brought it back and they tested it and told me nothing was wrong with it. Almost made me out to be a liar, just wanted to trade it for another one, They went and got the owner and she looked at me like I was trying to steal from her. They swapped it for a shorter one, but they weren't happy about it. I was nice, it wasn't until after I left that my blood started to boil. I never do reviews, but I would hate to buy something expensive there and have a problem with it! The counter guys were cool, but she is an idiot. more

Trusted Music Source! 9/7/2009

I got my clarinet there, and when it broke, we brought it back, they fixed it in less then a week, and I got a loner clarinet for free! Pros: I Could Trust Them With My Antique Flute! Cons: NONE! more

One of the best! 1/30/2009

My father was looking to rent a sound system with a PA for a party. He fired dozens of questions at the employees, they answered all of them and even told him what system would best suit his needs. They even hooked him up in the price. My father was very pleased with their service. Pros: Wide array of equipment and instruments, Repair and Maintenance service, Qualified teachers and staff, Cons: Cons...well sort of. Prices may look high on intruments, however i can say 10 times out of 10 they will lower the price for a customer. more

one of the best experiences of my life 1/23/2009

My son and I have been taking guitar lessons together for 3 years from the same teacher at Ponce De Leon Music Center in Georgia. This has been one of the best experiences of my life, short of discovering North Point Church. We have learned to play songs and we have learned THEORY. I woujld not consider purchasing a musical instrument or takng lessons anywhere else. Thank you Ponce De Leon Music. Pros: Great teachers and products more

Amazing Guitar Instruction 1/23/2009

My son is receiving awesome guitar instruction. He started taking lessons in January 2007 and is now able to play a song by Joe Satriani. His instructor has amazing talent and has a wonderful passion for music and teaching others about music. His instructor is flexible with our schedule and the cost is very reasonable. I'm always greeted when we enter the store. The staff and other instructors are always pleasant and eager to assist you. This instructor and school are a blessing to us. I have been a customer & student at Ponce De Leon Music Center for over a year. The instructors possess a high degree of technical training and extensive knowledge of musical theory as well as a true passion for teaching. I have purchased 2 guitars and a variety of accessory items and books. The staff is always attentive, readily available, courteous and eager to assist with extraordinary customer service. Go anywhere but here 10/18/2008

I have dealt with this store for several years and finally got fed up - their guitar teachers, as far as I experienced, knew nothing about teaching theory and were only interested in teached tableture - which, if you're trying to be a musician, is useless. Also, the last time I spoke to anyone on the phone there, they were so rude and condescending that I will never go there again, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.
