I Love this salon. Karen is my stylist and she is not only amazing but a Color GENIUS!! The salon is a joy to go to and I look forward to every time I need my hair done. It's beautiful and has wonderful people working there. Betty has done my make up and she can work wonders with a brush. She is not only beautiful herself, she can make you look just as good. I can't recommend this salon high enough. more

I Love Lisa 3/1/2010

I have been going to Lisa, the owner, for a few years, for blond highlights and she is amazing. My hair is long, healthy and gorgeous (people tell me this). The price is reasonable and the experience is wonderful. Lisa is such a nice person to talk to and deal with - we really connect. I love the massage chairs while my hair is shampooed. This is a fabulous salon, in a fabulous location. I travel a lot, and although I have tried to make sure that I am in LA when my roots are due for color, I have had to have my hair done in other countries and other states a few times and Lisa is the best. I even had tried some of the best salons in LA before I found Pomp and I am sticking with Lisa! Pros: Relaxing Experience + Raving Results = Highly Recommended Cons: hmm...??? more

Not worth the money 8/21/2009

I had my haircut and color done at this salon last year. I had a beautiful long angled bob. I liked my color but my hair was chopped so bad that I am still trying to grow it out. Lisa created a haircut that did not suit my face and it was the most the most expensive haircut that I ever had ($130.00). It is so not worth the money. Maybe other stylists that work there are superb but I am still bitter about my experience. Pros: Friendly staff Cons: Overpriced more

Nice people- WAY too expensive 10/22/2008

Love the location and the staff- everybody is super nice and they really spend the time with you. I went in a few weeks ago and the color was great- cut not so great. And super-duper expensive- I mean 1/3 of my rent for a trim and some highlights. And I have to get the cut fixed- grrr. But I cant say this enough- they are so nice and have a huge following for a reason. Pros: Great location and staff Cons: Way overpriced for the results more

Helen is the best hairdresser with two hands. Hands down, she is the most talented, friendly and gifted hair stylist in the vicinity. I love this place, everyone is very friendly and the coffee is robust! My hair always looks great afterwards and the wash is semi-orgasmic. Try it! Pros: HELEN! FREE PARKING! CLEAN! FRIENDLY! Where can you find free parking, great service, and a beautiful professional staff in Santa Monica- all while getting treated a special as I feel I deserve? Pomp Salon. This place is extra-ordinary. This is not your grandmothers hair salon. All of the stylists are professional, hard working, and easy on the eyes. I am from NY and was staying at a nearby hotel. I randomly went to this salon and ended up with the best color I have ever had. I love my hair!!!!!!!!!!!! I only wish I could have Brit do my hair back home. She is very talented. Anyone who wants fabolous hair should make appointments with her. I have never loved my hair so much!!!!!!!!! Pomp is a cute place on Ocean Ave. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks Brit!!!!!!!!!!! Best Wedding Hair and Make Up E-V-E-R! 6/17/2008

Miss Betty and her fabulous team of ladies did the most INCREDIBLE job on hair and makeup for my wedding. Not only did they travel to our hotel destination, but they were early, had everything they needed to make us look amazing and they were a bunch of fun. Let's be honest here, to take on a bride, 9 bridesmaids, a mother of the groom and 2 flower girls is no easy task, but Miss Betty and her Mod Squad did it with style, grace and in a timely fashion. I would recommend Miss Betty and her team over and over and over again. more

Cute Salon, Great Atmosphere, Amazing Location 6/7/2008

As most people have I have been to a plethora of salons all over LA. You name it I have been there. However have been coming here for almost a year and I love Pomp!!!!!! I've been to a few stylists there but I finally found one girl who is spectacular, Brittney. She is adorable and she does the absolute best baliage highlights. Not to brag but my hair looks amazing because of her! I have had foil highlights done elsewhere but they just do not compare to Brittney's baliage highlights. She is seriously a master of color! Pomp Salon, a very tranquil and relaxing environment. Hidden in a private courtyard, across from the Pacific Ocean with a full scale view from every window of a gorgeous fountain. The stylists all work together as a team to get the job done right. And the best part is that you can never go wrong with FREE (2hr) valet parking. It is a full service salon with everything from skin care to pedicures. I LOVE it there. Pros: Entertaining, Fun, Refreshing Customer Service, Friendly, Serve refreshments, Valet Parking,FULL SERVICE Cons: Close to the promenade, a lot of temptation to shop before the appointment :) more

I am FABulous but NEED Ms. Betty to pull it off. I depend on her instictual expertice to fix me up. I'm often inspired by her unwillingness to conform and push the norm. I myself love a natual highlight and even base; let's face it roots are a no-no. Perfection in any color is worth the price. Ms. Betty is definitley Fabulous herself and although busy stylists speak for themselves I must rave about the one stop accommodation I find at Pomp Salon. Ms. Betty has done my special event make-up and the champagne isn't bad either! Ms. Betty is a GURU of style that cannot be denied! I have found my colorist for life! Not only does Betty walk the talk, but being one of the most beautiful pinup girls, she new exactly what I wanted from my bleachy blonde curls. Everytime I go to Pomp, I can't wait to see what Betty looks like. She is a magician with her own hair - which is harder than doing someone elses. From funky to chic, she is a knock out! With that said, I put my hair in her trusty hands. I will never change from my platinum blonde, but she adds fun extensions to alter my look so that I keep my hair in it's healthy condition. I love change and she gives it to me without challenging the quality. If any of you girls want to really knock your man's socks off - have her give you a Betty Makeup Application. You will be the glam girl you have always wanted and those EYES! She is a full service stylist - hair, makeup, color, styling, weddings, photo work! Please, what more could a girl ask for. I've been jumping from one salon and stylist to another for the past 2 years. Some of them nice, but just did a poor job and some so pretenious that I left before they even touched my hair. So frustrating! However I recieved a coupon from a friend of mind to Pomp Salon and so I went. There I met Lynesy. She was so nice and had really good energy. She made sure to explain the process, and gave me suggestions instead of INSISTING on what I should do with my hair. There was no attiture, no preteniousness. It was great. AND she did a great job. Best Hair Cut Ever 11/29/2007

I must say this was my best experience ever at a Hair Salon. Being a guy going into a new Salon for the first time can be a bit intimidating but when I walked into ""Pomp"" it was so friendly, NO ATTITUDE!! I loved it. I had the greatest (cute too) Stylist her name was Lynesy. So nice and so professional, she truly knew what she was doing. I had the best cut ever and my wife who is very critical said the same.
