New ownership at Pomodorino of Huntington 1/22/2012

As of May 2011, Fernando, the longtime Manager at Pomodorino is now part of the new ownership team. The restaurant has been freshened up with new murals painted, updated bathrooms and bar area. The parking lot has been totally re-paved. The bar area now features large screen TV's making it a nice casual hang for watching sporting events. A new bar menu (wings!) is now available. An authentic brick oven cooks the pizza, baked clams, shrimp and salmon dishes. \r \r The atmoshere is lively with a family friendly open setting. There is lots of positive energy. It is a perfect place for casual dining and meeting with friends and family. The menu, staff, reasonable prices and menu all remain the same. The entire restaurant joins in when the ""Happy Birthday"" song is sung complete with bell ringing !!\r \r If you have visited the restaurant in the past I suggest you give the place a second look.\r \r \r \r more

Ok Food, Ok Service, Unreasonable Prices for Old Location 10/8/2010

My family and I have been at this restaurant a few times and on our lasts few visits we were very disappointed. The food used to be good, now is just ok. Service is rather slow, especially if they are a little busy. More frustrating however is the fact they try to seat you almost with another table. Very little space to walk, feel comfortable, forget about relaxing. My guess is that is why service is slow, waitresses/waiters bump into you frequently. Major issue is the location is old, so much that the roof had a leak problem or pipe leak problem. We noticed throughout the entire restaurant the ceiling is somewhat wet, moldy or warped from being wet before. I had water dripping on me at the table and in my food. We noticed the water dripping through the black moldy tiles above us. While the manager did try to move us, he did not seem to take the problem very seriously - shrugging it off to water from the air-conditioner. For this setting, prices are not reasonable! There are much nicer Italian restaurants, with more spacious setups & better service in the area & even more reasonable prices. We are sorry to say we will never eat at that restaurant again. more

Not worth stopping. 4/17/2006

We were seated immediately, but slow with everything else, drink orders, water, taking the order, getting the food. If they were busy, I would understand, but the place was less than 1/2 full. The calamari is BLAND!!!!! The worst calamari I have had--bar NONE. I thought it would be a safe bet, it's not. The rest of the meal didn't get any more flavor. If you want flavorful, good, vibrant italian food, find another place, this isn't it. It's on my ""never return"" list. Pros: Prompt Seating, Atmosphere Cons: Service, Food more

Amazing food! 6/26/2005

This is one of the best Italian restaurants on Long Island. You get a lot of good food for your money. The atmosphere is nice, staff is always very quick and friendly! more

When I'm visiting the fam on the Island, this is the place to go. Looking for a little more romance (and a higer price) with the same great food - call Pompadoro in the village. A wonderful resturant. Pros: Great Food, Value, Family Friendly Cons: Can get Crowded more
