A multipurpose venue: picnicing, walks (romantic or not), scenic runs (with a breeze from the rivers), Pittsburgh's natural claim to fame, houses a museum and Fort Pitt, great place for outside sports such as frisbee or kite flying, and has plenty of bathroom facilities and vending machines (though as not to interrrupt the setting) to make anyone feel comfortable. more

Point State Park is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a little peacefulness away from the business of the downtown area of Pittsburgh. You can picnic, read under the shade of a tree, or just sit and watch the boat traffic moving peacefully up and down the three rivers. Pros: inexpensive, easy to locate more
