Pogo Events

If you want something to do in NYC that's fun and also give you a chance to meet new people, this is for you. I did this with some family and friends and we had a blast. We had to figure out clues, do some challenges and got perfect strangers to take our picture or do things with us. Not only did we have a blast, we burned off lots of calories running around the city. Although we didn't win 1st prize, it was great fun and I plan on doing it again. A friend of mine told me that they even offer underground races during the winter. I can't wait to try it, it sounds interesting. more

Tired of the usual NYC activities this is a fun event to do with friends. We learned about the city and got an awesome work out! Running around the streets of NYC like man men was fun and people were so helpful. Who says NYers are mean? more

Just the day before the event my roomie and I were laying the park, reading, discussing what we should do with our Sunday. We had over heard about this Amazing Race event and on the fly signed up, curious and just bored. Little did we know that one of our VERY favorite NYC days was ahead of us. It was such a blast!!!! Honestly, no one should miss out on this. You get to meet people, explore, get exercise, challenge yourself, laugh..ah it was so much fun. And I sware I am not even just saying that because we won, which we did ?. But that was just an extra funny added bonus. The coordinator really makes it about you, and your experience. You?ll see first hand how helpful and amazing everyone in New York is when you need it. And you'll see a side of you, you never new existed. Sign up this moment, you wont be disappointed. I no longer live in NY but hands down will come back when it is time for my birthday or bachlorette party to have them customize an amazing race for me and my friends! Have fun!!! My 2 sisters and a friend of ours ran this race together and exactly as we suspected, we had a BLAST!!!! We laughed the entire day long, we experienced first hand how FRIENDLY and HELPFUL New Yorkers really are when we asked them to take a picture with us, or to take a picture of us, when we asked for directions, or asked them to help us with answers that we needed to complete one of the challenges ... It was so refreshing!! We ran around Manhattan determined to win this and we ended up coming in 2nd place! WHAT A GREAT DAY!! I did this last year and it was a lot of fun running around the city, strategizing with your team, and learing new facts about the city. It made for a unique weekend experience. Pros: Fun way to be active and to learn more about the city. Cons: The prizes could be better. more

The Amazing New York Race: How can you not have a ton of fun when you take clues, activities, running, subways, Manhattan, friends, family and a prize and combine into a race. Seriously, my family and friends and I are still talking about it! A fun and unique thing to do for sure. Mentally and physically challenging, but it's great coming up with the game plan and seeing how it all comes together. Meet some cool people both part of the event and in your travels, and the meal you eat after a day of running is divine. I so loved The Amazing Race, it was an incredible experience. What I loved most about the Amazing race was discovering new places in the city, places I wouldn't even imagine existed. The energy was exciting! and my friends were troopers. This time around I'm in it too win! I think what made the race unique was gathering and having short but fast conversations with people in the street that one didn't know. The best feeling of the race is sharing the information with other people so they can join and have a time of their lives! Pros: Meeting new People and hanging out with great friends! I've been doing this for some time now. I've totally lost count. I've made it an annual event and my goal is to bring new people to compete with my team. It makes it more challenging and fun. A four hour competitive run through Manhattan is a great workout and it questions your endurance and knowledge of one of the greatest cities in the world. At the end, you walk away tired but with great stories and amazing pictures of your accomplishments. Regardless of your placement, you always look forward to coming back and doing better.
