Nice eatery, lovely location. 8/30/2007

A few friends and I dined here for lunch a few days ago. Overall we were very impressed. A friend and I each had the gnocchi with pesto while our other friend had pizza. The food was delicious and the service was very good. I highly recommend trying the desserts!! They were delicious! We decided to get three of them and share. The white peach sherbert was outstanding, the blackberry sorbet was out of this world, and the vanilla ice cream with espresso was incredible! The only turnoffs of the restaurant was the abundance of fruit flies that seemed to stick around in the restaurant, (we had to walk through a hoard of them to get in, and were swatting them away during our meal...not acceptable at a nice restaurant) and the hostess at the door. (She was staring off into space when we entered.) The wine list was decent, and their recommendations were right on. I would recommend putting up a screen between the diners inside and outside the establishment..then it would be perfect! Pros: The food and the MUST HAVE desserts!! Cons: Really bad fruit fly problem while dining, and the hostess who did not notice we walked in. more

The Best Service 4/5/2007

Seeing the prices on the menu I was expecting greatness when the food arrived. The food was above average but not quite worth the steep prices. What was worth the steep prices was the great service. The waitstaff was very friendly, extremely helpful, eager to please and extremely knowledgeable about the food and wine they serve. Pros: Great Service, Great Decor Cons: Pricey more

Great spot 5/30/2006

The pastas here are fantastic, super flavorful. Also, the appetizers are great for sharing. Sitting outside is the best on a sunny day, but the booths are also cozy and great for small group. Friendly service, good wine list with many Italian selections. Always a fun choice and no one ever rushes the table. Pros: Atmosphere, Pastas, Service Cons: Desserts more

Fabulous Addition to Marin 7/12/2004

Great food, decor and location. Inventive cuisine influenced by local flavors and produce. The atmosphere is lively, friendly and realxing, much like open air cafes in Europe. The wine list is extensive with many by the glass and by the taste choices. This is my new favorite place to unwind with a glass of wine or dine with friends. Pros: Decor, Food, Location more

Mrs 5/6/2004

Their were four of us and we each ordered a different entre. All were very pleased, however, one dinner was just warm, not hot. The salads are served cold and lightly dressed and are very generous. The wine list seemed a little limited. The service was very good. Only thing i did not like was that the restrooms are only accessible by leaving the rest. and taking an elevator to the second floor. Pros: Service, location, fairly priced Cons: , location of restrooms more
