Podge

They do have unusual things in there that are hard to find anywhere. The teas are very tasty. They have such a huge variety. There was one tea I could not find and it was a cinnimon spice tea. They had something similar but it was not the same. They never did special order or try to find anything for me. Maybe I went in at the wrong times. I didn't find the staff to be overly friendly well it depends who is working in there. I did get some great christmas gifts in there because they do carry such unusual and unique gift items that I could never find anywhere else. I got a special steamer from there for myself and its great. It has to be one of my favorite items I ever bought from there. They've got some really great clay pots and different types of things to make tea. They do carry a lot of things. Some things are pretty expensive and other things seem to run normal. Sometimes they do have sales. It is on that main road in clarence where they have a lot of antique shops and such. I think thats why they are a little pricey. Most shops on that road in that area do run a little high. It depends if you are thrifty or not and if you are looking for a particular item. more

I love the Podge. Their selection of high-quality utensils, cookware, and other kitchen items (especially teapots, lovely copper molds, and cookie cutters) is great, and not like what you find everywhere else. Their prices are excellent (I've never been clear on whether they're a discount store or not) ; a few years ago I bought a ton of canning supplies--a HUGE pot with a rack in it, a very high-quality jar lifter, and a wide-mouth canning funnel--for about $30. They carry a lot of unusual food items: I've found international products and spices there that I've never seen anywhere else in Buffalo (even Wegman's, which carries a lot of international stuff). They have some neat gourmet snack foods and nice candy, too. The store always smells wonderful, and the people who work there (I've only seen one or two over the years) are extremely pleasant and helpful. Going to the Podge is always just a treat! more

Any kitchen utensil you need can be found here. They have every size tin and pan and speciality baking items. Any time I have been in need of a cooking or baking item, The Podge has it. They also have wholesale food items and cake decorating pieces. If you cannot find something in the store, they are willing to order it for you. It is a friendly store and it has all of your kitchen needs! more
