WORST BUSINESS EVER! 7/16/2011

This place has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced! Not only was I told that my credit card would not be charged until I arrived, but when I didn't arrive due to a family emergency they charged me the FULL amount for 6 people! I called them to dispute this and the lady yelled at me, and told me that I would NOT get my money back! Why would I pay for a service I DID NOT receive, when they sold those tickets to someone else anyway!?? I am very displeased! more

LOLLIE BOMBS bomb 2/12/2011

I was so disappointed in this show. This is NOT anywhere near burlesque. Burlesque is voluptuous classy women displaying some talent and never baring it all. Something is always left to the imagination and that is intriguing. Lollie Bombs are young girls with AA cups, who seem to have no desire to hide what little they do have, performing sexual inuendos with other females, and senseless skits. The only redeeming talent at this show was the girl who showed real talent with her hoola hoop......oh and the hot wings and nachos. more

A new Adventure in Entertainment! 3/8/2010

What a great place to go and have fun! The best part is the popcorn throwing plays and the sarcastic actors. I love this place! The food is OK, but the entertainment is the best! more

So much fun!! 2/19/2010

We love the mysteries and comedys - the plays are so fun! Food is good too - great night out for a couple or family with older kids! more

Pocket Sandwich Theatre is for an evening out with friends. 11/18/2009

Fun place for taking friends for a relaxed evening of entertainment. Great performances that are right up close and personal to the audience. Food is marginal and seating a little cramped but the entertainment is worth it and at a reasonable cost. more

Fun place for dinner and a show 10/13/2008

Great intimate theater that offers fun and Texas beer! Get there an hour before the show starts for pocket sandwiches (go figure), salads, and yummy nachos. They offer beer & wine as well as bottomless soda. Top that off with a fun show and you'll go home with a smile on your face. All in all, a great evening. Pros: Ride the Dart Rail to Mockingbird Station Cons: Watch your step more

Good 11/4/2005

If you're in the mood to throw some popcorn and interact with some actors check out one of the Comedy Spoof plays put on by the crew at the Pocket Sandwich Theater. They go after their acting with gusto and put up with and participate with heckling from the audience. Durring the intermissions you will find yourself peppered with popcorn from the patrons around you and with a seating limit of 170 you are encouraged to be friendly with the guy or gal next to you. The food and drink list isn't extensive or gourmet, but they get all the chow done in the hour before the show. The wait staff is fast, efficient and has a good sense of humor, as you must to work in a place like that. Don't forget your 'roof' so you don't get popcorn in your drink! more

I'll definatly return to the Pocket Sandwich Theatre! 7/29/2005

This little 'hole in the wall' theatre was the most fun I have had in a long time! The ticket prices were very inexpensive, the food was not of the quality that you would get a restaurant but I found that it went perfect with the atmosphere and I loved the beef nachos. The food price was very comparable. The actors did such an awesome job on the show. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that audience got the throw popcorn at the actors, and many pieces of popcorn were actually thrown between audience members starting 'popcorn wars'. It was alot of fun for very little money! I highly recommend this place! more

Fun times at the theater 6/28/2005

This place great! They plays are quirky, melodramatic, and funny. Then food is good and drinks readily available. The actors encourage audience participation. The more you interact with the play, the more fun you have. more

the perfect endorphin cocktail 6/22/2005

Laughter and your choice of beverage (and they have food too) mix together deliciously to form your perfect weekend activity. Different comedy troupes perform every weekend, along with theatre companies performing various shows throughout the week. Don't miss Pavlov's Dogs the second weekend of every month - you'll laugh yourself into a silly stupor and you'll keep coming back for more! more

Oldie But Goodie 6/16/2005

Theatre at its cheesiest and/or campiest is on display most of the time at the PST, but the fun and somewhat charming atmosphere keeps folks coming back to the melodramas and horror spoofs that are frequently on the boards. Audience participation in encouraged at most of their shows, especially the late night improv performances. These after hours gigs are what I enjoyed the most, particularly a group called "Pavlov's Dogs" . The group uses audience sugestions to create a wide array of scenes on the spot. Drinks and food are available to enjoy during shows (seating is cabaret style with booths along the back walls) but the service leaves something to be desired. There is usually something to be seen or heard there on most nights of the week. PROS: Across from Mockingbird Station, plenty of parking CONS: more

Goofy little shows 5/16/2002

If you're up for something silly, check out the Pocket, where they put up cheesy melodramas where you're encouraged to cheer on the heroes and buy popcorn to throw at the villains. Decent bar food type fare, but you're not here for the food. You're here for 2000 Babes Under the Sea, or whatever else they happen to be showing at the time. more
