Pocket Sandwich Theatre

If you're in the mood to throw some popcorn and interact with some actors check out one of the Comedy Spoof plays put on by the crew at the Pocket Sandwich Theater. They go after their acting with gusto and put up with and participate with heckling from the audience. Durring the intermissions you will find yourself peppered with popcorn from the patrons around you and with a seating limit of 170 you are encouraged to be friendly with the guy or gal next to you. The food and drink list isn't extensive or gourmet, but they get all the chow done in the hour before the show. The wait staff is fast, efficient and has a good sense of humor, as you must to work in a place like that. Don't forget your 'roof' so you don't get popcorn in your drink! more

Pocket Sandwich Theater is an interesting place to go see a play and eat dinner at the same time. It’s located near Mockingbird Station, on the South side of Mockingbird (near Jason’s Deli, but in the corner). The place is really small and cozy, and you can throw popcorn at the performers. That’s always fun. It’s something fun to do for a change of pace. The performances and prices vary, so you might want to check the website for specifics. There are late night shows on weekends. more

This is a small, but fun theater production in Dallas. The food is not bad there, and its fun to eat and watch these shows. What I enjoy about these shows is they interact with the audience. They have popcorn available to purchase which you can eat of course, but also throw at the actors, especially the "evil" actors of the production. If you are able to affect their performance by throwing the popcorn, they will interact with you and make comments that make the experience very enjoyable. So all in all, a good time. more

If you're up for something silly, check out the Pocket, where they put up cheesy melodramas where you're encouraged to cheer on the heroes and buy popcorn to throw at the villains. Decent bar food type fare, but you're not here for the food. You're here for 2000 Babes Under the Sea, or whatever else they happen to be showing at the time. more
