I had some art works that was purchased by my ex-husband a while ago. I don?t understand anything in arts and I always personally hated that pictures but just throwing them away seemed like a waste. I heard about the Plaza from the ad on a radio and decided to invite an appraiser home in order to sell the paintings. The appraiser came the next day and offered a good price for the pictures. I also had some old gold jewelry at home that I don?t wear anymore. The appraiser advised me to bring it in the store. He said I will be able to get a good deal for trading in my old jewelry for a new jewelry or watch. I?ve already made an appointment for coming in on Wednesday. Considering all the positive reviews, it should be amazing experience. I?m looking forward to it. more

I was supposed to go to the concert to Carnegie Hall with my wife. Due to the fact we arrived earlier we decided to walk around and walked into the Plaza out of the curiosity. We were amazed by their inventory. It seemed they had everything there: watches, baseball cards, sports memorabilia? While I was standing there staring at the spots items my wife picked an expensive ring that she absolutely loved. I wasn?t ready to spend a lot of money but the owner gave me a great discount. I just couldn?t miss this offer. So be very careful while walking in the store with your wife, she will definitely find something that she likes there : ))) more

I?m looking at nice antique mirror on my wall that I recently bought from Plaza. It looks amazing at my apartment. The thing that I like about it the most is that my guests think that I spent enormous money on this mirror, which I actually got at a very nice price. One of my friends asked me to sell the mirror to him at the price that is twice higher than what I?ve paid, but I refused. I suggested him to visit the Plaza Gallery instead and he bought beautiful candelabra there. This store is amazing! I suggest everybody to visit it! more

I'm from Illinois was referred by a friend in New York City. I just bought my fianc?e her diamond ring there. A little over 3 carats. Similar rings in Tiffany and Company were between $80,000-$100,000.00. we paid $29,000.00 which I thought was a great deal. They also have a tremendous selection of watches also at super prices. I was recommended to Plaza by a friend. I came in looking to purchase men?s Rolex diamond presidential watch and trade in my old stainless steel sport model. After spending a little time with two of the sales people both of which were helpful and very knowledgeable. They made me an offer that I could not refuse and I purchased the gold Rolex presidential watch with diamonds that I wanted for myself and trade in my old stainless steel sport model plus they gave me a lady's gold diamond presidential watch for my wife. All for less then I was quoted down the block for just my watch! Basically I got two watches for less than the price of one! They both came with full boxes, guaranteed and insurance appraisal. I had a Rolex that needed servicing and repair parts, I received an estimate from a retail store of approximately $1200.00, which I thought was too much. A friend told me about Plaza on 57th street. They gave me an estimate for $95.00 plus parts. They called me with in two days stating that the watch was ready. The total price was $129.00 which was a savings to me over a $1000.00! I like the store because there were a lot of branded watches which i don't know, actually i am form Zenia, CA and i came to New York. While passing over i saw the store on 57th street. i liked the watches mostly as they are my favorite, if i am not wrong probably they might be having around thousands of watches in a small store along with other items. i bought watch for me and my wife for a good price which was very high in the showroom. more

Very good collection of watches, jewelry, collectible items. it was a surprise to visit the store and get to see unexpected items. It was pleasure to do the business with them. They have very good experience in watches, jewelry and other collectible stuff. I bought a patek Philippe watch from them of 18k yellow gold which suited my budget. My father turned 70 recently and I wanted to make a special gift for him. He used to have a Rolex watch that was stolen from him a year ago. I new he loved the watch a lot and couldn?t find anything to replace it. The watch was old and it was hard for me to find the same one. Likely, my friend told me that they were in Plaza recently and it was an amazing choice of antique watches there. I was able to find the watch that was very similar to the one my father used to have, except the color of the strap was different, but the salesperson told me that they will be able the replace the strap on anyone I like and also advised to make an engraving on the back of the watch. What a great idea! I picked the watch with a new strap and engraving in 2 days. The watch looked perfect. My father loved the present. more

I?m collecting gold coins for around 10 years already. I love to come to the Plaza to pick one or two coins for my collection. I always was able to find the coins that I needed there for a great price. If I needed a special coin that was not in stock the store was willing to order it for me. The owner of the store always talks to me in person, so I always feel like a special client more

They have the largest selection of watches I have ever seen! They say they have over 20,000 watches and if you look around you will believe it. I looked around for about 1 hour. I came back the next day and bought a Breitling and a Patek Phillipe watch. The price I figured was about half the retail price which was really fair. While I was there, the place was really busy, they were buying and selling everything! The purchased an Andy Warhol painting and a signed Babe Ruth baseball. They also sold and Abraham Lincoln letter and appraised a collection of original World Series rings! One of the other clients was saying he was there when James Bond (Daniel Craig) bought a couple of watches there a few weeks ago!! It's really a wild place and sometimes crazy busy, but you will always get a really good deal. They also buy anything and I thing they pay very fair prices. Overall I would state the following: The selection is the largest in the world. The prices are excellent. The place especially when crowed is a little small. The items are not the that organized. The experts are sometimes busy, but when available will answer any questions you will have. They do go out of their way to try to make you happy. Overall a very unique experience and recommended. more

If you are in New York you definitely would want to visit Plaza on 57th street. There are more than 20,000 watches in the store, coins, jewelry, stamps, art works, sport memorabilia. This is like a small museum with free admission. You will not be able to walk out of Plaza without buying something! I?ve received an Omega watch as a gift but I never worn them. I brought the watch to the Plaza for an estimate and appraisal. I heard from the ad that the Plaza offers the highest prices for watches. I was offered a very nice price indeed - $200 more than I was offered at the previous store. They paid me right on the spot without commissions. Great place! more

I heard about Plaza from one of their Ads in one of the magazines. I was looking to get my wife a 5ct Round Diamond ring. They showed me one in beautiful quality that appraised for $125,000.00 which I purchased for $45,000.00. I know this was a great deal because I went looking at Tiffany & Co. prior to shopping there and their similar rings and similar quality was all between $100.00 and $2000.00! They said the have over 25,000 watches!! and if you look around you believe them!! I looked at their Omega watches. They showed me over 1,000 Omega watches!! Do you understand, over 1,000 just Omega watches! I didn't there are that many in the whole New York City! They has styles and models I never new ever existed! They were all in perfect condition including many old ones from the 1920's. Everything they sell is guaranteed. Their prices are quite good and they buy and take trade ins. They also have an expert appraiser on staff. I bought and Omega and a vintage Rolex for less the expected to pay just for the Omega!! Will definitely be back! more
