treated better than other dealerships 7/9/2009

purchased 2009 Honda Accord EX-L from Plaza Honda on 02/16/2009. It was one of the most enjoyable experiences that I have had when purchasing a new car.The sales associate, David Petri, was patient and provided me with all the details I needed and was a pleasure to work with. He quickly located the EX-L and the exact color I wanted. Considering other Honda dealerships that I contacted lied to get me to visit their dealerships hoping to change my mind on the model i wanted and the color. David Petri did not pressure me and told me to take my time when deciding. He even encouraged me not to rush into the purchase until i felt confident. Dave Petri wanted me to call other dealerships before i purchasing from Plaza Honda. Taking the advice of Mr. Petri's, I decided to think it over and call other dealerships once more so i could compare prices and not one came close to what Plaza Honda offered. The next day, feeling confident after doing more research, I went back to Plaza Honda to purchase the 2009 Honda Accord EX-L. The whole process took about an hour and I even opened a Plaza Auto Mall credit card so I could upgrade on accessories that i wanted but didn't want to add to my final loan. David Petri explained that by opening a Plaza Auto Mall Credit Card, I would have 6 months to pay off the amount without having to pay interest on the total amount of the car loan, which brought my monthly payments down a great deal. It has been close to six months since my purchase and I have paid my Plaza Auto Mall Credit Card off completed without interest as promised and now realizing that was the best decision i could have made. Plaza Honda changed my entire outlook on shopping for a new car. I have recommended Plaza Honda to a couple of relatives and to a dear close friend and all three purchased a car without a problem. Thank You, Plaza Honda, for treating my family and friend like a valued customer. PS I just recently used my Plaza Auto Mall Credit Card to purchase rims for my son's birthday. Also, my husband was finally able to get some much needed maintenance on his car without having to pay with cash. Pros: Very knowledgeable Cons: none more

Plaza Auto Mall was a Life Saver 6/29/2009

Due to a fuel pump failure on our 2003 Honda Accord, my husband and I were almost stranded in Brooklyn with our children. This was about six months ago. After calling several mechanics and service departments at dealerships, my husband was very discouraged by the help he received on the phone. We decided to go to Plaza Honda. When we came to Plaza Honda, the service manager took our car in immediately. We could not have asked for a more customer friendly environment. The prompt service was amazing! Our car was towed into Plaza Honda in the morning, and our vehicle was ready for pick up that afternoon. Just in time for us to leave town. My only regret is that I was unable to recall the service manager's name to personally thank him in this note. We would definitely recommend Plaza Honda for their impeccable service, courteous staff, and easy payment option with their Auto Mall credit card. They were a lifesaver. Excellent service 6/28/2009

About six months ago, my husband and I were almost stranded in Brooklyn with our children, due to fuel pump failure on our 2003 Honda Accord. My husband called several automotive mechanics, including dealership service departments in the area and treated terrible. Finally, he called Plaza Honda and to our surprise, the service manager worked us in immediately. We could not have asked for more consumer-oriented, kind, courteous, and prompt service! Our vehicle was towed to Plaza Honda’s service department that morning, and it was ready for us when we were scheduled to leave town that same afternoon. My only regret is that I do not recall the service representative's name to thank in this note. My husband and I appreciated the service-oriented, helpful attitude at Plaza Honda and we opened a Plaza Auto Mall credit card for future maintenance and purchases we made need in the future. Worst Customer Service Imaginable 8/1/2008

We made an appointment to test drive and the follow up seemed great...two phone calls confirming the time. When we showed up, the car we requested was in the back of the show room. The floor dealer gave us the impression that we would be able to drive a similar model, and would be right with us after copying our drivers licenses. After a half an hour, he said it would be three hours before a car would be available. Ten minutes after that, he suggested we come back another day and took us up to the manager. This is when things turned bad. The manager was rude, inconsiderate, and basically could have cared less about the situation, stating "it looked like the weather was going to be bad, so the lot manager isn't in." He refused to listen to the voice mail on my phone confirming our test drive, acting like he had more important things to do. When I ask him why no one called us to cancel the test drive, he said "that's just how it is." We were ready to make a purchase that day and were prepared to pay cash. They missed out. The management gives even the worst car salesman a bad name. Pros: Will keep you from wanting to buy a car. Cons: Arrogant management more

Great Experience 12/23/2007

I contacted several Honda Dealers through the Internet and only Plaza responded with a price quote. Their price for a Honda Accord was more then fair, and when I was contacted by their Internet Sales Department to confirm everything, I made an appointment to visit the next day. I am happy to say that I met the Manager of the Honda Store, Jim and everything was exactly as explained. I have never had such a great and easy experience buying a car. I am recommending Plaza to everyone and beside Honda, they have Acura, Hyundai and Toyota all at the same place. Pros: Great Pricing and Streamline Buying Process Cons: None more

Unbelievably OFFENSIVE experience at Plaza Honda 10/9/2007

I called to confirm 1.5 hours before showing up at Plaza Honda that a car would be available for a test drive. James insisted on talking prices first ("if I took $500 off the sticker price would you buy it right now?") even though I told him I was there just to look and to test drive the car. Since I already drive a Honda, James assured me that I "already know how the car drives" and ultimately explained very plainly that no cars were available to test drive. He said that they'd need to take apart the showroom to make a car available and encouraged me to walk across the street to check out a Toyota (at Plaza Toyota, of course)! No apology, no regret from James - no problem at all wasting my time knowing full well that there would be no test drive, even though he photocopied my license and wrote down lots of my personal info. I walked out, never to return. I received a phone call the following night (8:15pm!) from Damian at Plaza asking how my test drive went. I explained what happened and he said that if we couldn't come to an agreement over price, there is no test drive. I explained that I never said the price was bad -- just that I wanted to DRIVE the car before I purchased it. Damian acted like he'd never heard such a ridiculous idea before! Damian also explained that nobody would want to take a test drive on a car that had 100 (yes, he said 100) miles on it, so that's why they don't let everybody take test drives. Besides, he said, there are no cars for test drives except those in the indoor showroom. I am not making any of this up. Plaza Honda can absolutely kiss my a**. My recommendation is that everyone avoid this place like the plague. I certainly will. Pros: Large showroom. Cons: Test drive? Don't count on it. more
