We took my son here for his 3rd birthday and were incredibly disappointed. The first 3 arcade games we tried didn't work and we had to get employee help. One employee actually said, 'oh, they're always like this'. We tried more games and at least 3 more didn't work and 2 never worked at all the entire time we were there. Dust and cobwebs covered the games and equipment. Between and beside the games dirt had accumulated to an embarrassing point. It wasn't a matter that it hadn't been cleaned in a week...it was a matter that it hadn't been cleaned in YEARS. \r
At both ball pits there was a 1.5 foot drop from the end of the slide to the balls. In the toddler ball pint there were only about a dozen balls; it hadn't been filled in an incredibly long time. The older child ball pit also was extremely low on balls. Both ball pits also had foreign objects in with the balls including socks and loose change. Many of the balls in the older ball pit had been crushed and broken. The fancy ball cleaner was covered in dust and it was obvious that the last time it was used was sometime last decade.\r
Convenient lockers for stowing camera cases, purses, and diaper bags were unavailable, not because they were inaccessible, but because the keys for every single 30+ locker had been lost or misplaced.\r
There were large gaps between the inflatables and the fences, making it unsafe for young children to use the large slide inflatables. The floor was old, dusty, and had no padding. There were long drops from the large 12 ft slides and the slides are extremely fast. The drop to the floor really hurts.\r
Lights were out over the toddler play area, making it hard to see what my toddler was doing and what he was potentially putting into his mouth. The large red cars in the toddler area were missing steering wheel--an integral part to the function of the car.\r
Security seemed lax. As I was leaving, no one checked to make sure that the toddler I was leaving with was really mine and that he belonged to me.\r
Square footage at Playworld is immense, yet there were only 2 employees working. One employee was constantly cleaning, but they seemed to only be cleaning the tables and the entrances to the play areas, not the play areas themselves. \r
The bathrooms, upon first entry, seemed clean and well kept, but when I chose a stall, the first one had feces on it and the other stalls were very low in toilet paper. \r
Despite the wrongness of this facility my children had fun. BUT WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. I am concerned for the safety of other children that use this place and considering how the whole facility was I worry also about the food. I am disappointed that this is where we took my son for his birthday. If I had known it would be like this we would have gone somewhere else.\r
Do not take your children to Playworld, unless they can prove that they have improved the conditions of their facility.
