Love Playful Paws! 1/1/2011

We have been taking our dogs to Playful Paws for the last 5 years and they have been wonderful with our boys! The dogs are so excited to get to day-care in the morning, and are exhausted from play when we pick them up. The Playful Paws team are fantastic,they really care for the dogs and their owners, and it is very much like being part of a great family. If your dogs are like your babies, this is the place to take them! more

BAD GROOMING!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY 12/29/2010

DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE! ...if you care about grooming. I was visiting Chicago and decided to get my poodle groomed. I made mention of a few things that the groomer should take care of, but at the same time, I fully expected that he understood how to groom a poodle. Why would I think that the groomer needs to be told about all the little details of grooming a poodle???!!! When I picked him up, the dog was not shaved on one side of his face and asked the groomer to take care of it. I went home and realized that the dog's ears were cut wrong, the under belly wasn't even groomed, the dog's top knot was poorly shaped, the groomer did nothing about the hair in my dog's ears, there was still long hair in the underside of his paws...I had to trim the hair around his nails. The grooming was clearly not professional. Before I left initially, I asked how long it would take--they said 1.5 hours. I was surprised, after all my poodle is 60 pounds and grooming a poodle takes a bit of work. I am more

Great place 5/23/2010

The owner and staff are very nice. I like the fact that it is a cage-free facility and there is a doggy door so the dogs can go in and out as they please. more
