Plato's Closet

Lousy Plato's Closet location. I brought in 2 overflowing bags of name brand, some never worn clothing to sell. Looked around while I was in there, all of the thing they DID have for sale were either worn, or not name brand clothing. I sat and waited for them to go through my clothes for AN HOUR AND A HALF before I finally walked up to them, asked how much longer, and they casually said, ""oh, that's been done for a while."" I was hanging around by the register the whole time, waiting for them to call my name. GRR. THEN they only bought my oldest items that I had brought in, giving me back my unworn, name brand items! What a waste of time, I have never had such a bad experience at a Plato's Closet. Take the time to drive to Minneapolis and sell your clothes somewhere else. more

We called the Roseville store to see if they would be interested in buying jeans in my daughter's size. They said yes, so my daughter gathered up10 pair of jeans, along with some nice tops that no longer fit her. After driving 30 minutes to get there, an employee announced that they would not be buying any clothes since they were ""short staffed"" even though the two employees were not waiting on any customers at the moment. We asked to talk to the manager who spent more time arguing with us than it would have taken to simply buy our clothes. What a poor way to do business. My daughter had name brand jeans, some never worn, and she had planned to spend up $75 at this store and she probably would have become a regular customer had she not had such a horrible experience. Instead of spending money on radio ads, perhaps it would be more profitable to provide quality service as word of mouth is often the best form of advertising. Oh well, maybe we will have better luck at the Woodbury store. Cons: poor service more

Went there once a year ago and it wasnt so hot. Now i found out there are new owners and the place is great! I sell all my old clothes there and they pay CASH! Got some holister jeans for $15! A&F shirts like $10! I been to other plato's and they cant compete! You gotta check it out! Pros: They pay cash for the clothes they buy from you. more
