Plato's Closet

I recently went to this location and had a wonderful experience. I brought in clothes to sell for the first time and was kindly greeted as soon as I arrived. The female employee behind the counter explained the process to me and even though there was a short wait that I could look around. I was amazed by how neat and tidy the store was and at the general fashionable appearance of the store. I ended up finding fantastic designer clothes at an unbelievably great price. The buy process was quick, efficient, and the employee that did mine explained exactly why they couldn't take some of my stuff so that I understood. I would highly recommend shopping or selling your stuff here. I had a wonderful experience here and cannot wait to go back! more

What a joke.. The older lady with the BAD attitude about bringing clothes because she was too busy being on the phone.. NEEDS to go! and a Liar at that.. Said I did not speak to one of her associates.. when I did and then proceeded to tell me she went through my clothes when two of us saw that she did not.. DO NOT TAKE your business here.. Lazy OLDER blonde lady at the front needs to go!.. Platos closet.. bad employees make for bad business.. I will never shop there again nor take my clothes there..\r Just found out she is possibly the owner too.. WOW.. If you want a bad attitude please go here! If you want to be lied to and said your clothes will be looked at go here.. I DID take my clothes in TRASH BAGS because that is how I was told by an employee to do so.. I was told NO HANGERS.. Guess what.. you are gonna get Mommy Dearest here! I had 7 pairs of Miss Me jeans that were looked over because she was so pissed about having to LOOK at my trash bags.. I am sorry, I did not have boxes.. I am sorry I did not have laupndry bags.. But they were WASHED and no they were not FOLDED but for Gods sake.. you are a consignment shop ... No wonder your reviews are as horrible as they are.. I plan on adding to them... You are a complete joke and I plan on making sure the public knows my experince with you was less than pleasant.. I am sorry, I apologized to you so much.. You did not deserve a sorry at all. but you are a very sorry person and business!!\r more

I was very disappointed my experience at this location. I saw a designer purse and asked if it was real. The sales associate snapped at me that ""all our purses are real"". I was so ecstatic since it was a steal of a price. Only to find out when I got it home and researched it, it's not real at all. Given their ""no return"" policy, I've attempted to contact ANYBODY to make an exception as this woman has lied to me, tricking me into purchasing it. Nobody has gotten back into contact with me. I even talked to the BBB and they can't do anything to help me. I'm very frustrated that an employee can function like this without repercussion and that the COMPANY doesn't care enough about the unethical practices to correct the wrong doing or keep a customer. I will definitely never be going back due to the lack of care and concern and the SEVERE lack of honesty, morals, and ethics. Absolutely disgusted. more
