It's the stylist that make the salon and I can honestly say that if you give Tammey M. a try you won't be disappointed. I always look for a stylist who will listen to what I want and then work with me to achieve the best look. She is hip and funny and makes your experience enjoyable. Every time I leave I feel renewed and I always receive tons of compliments. I have been to most salons in this city, and I must say that Planet Salon has some of the most talented stylists that I have ever came across-anywhere. The salon is very stylish and hip. It's a happy enviroment and I could really tell that everyone loved what they were doing. My stylist is so creative and has been to NYC twice this year for training. I've been going to planet salon for years and i love it. My stylist does a wonderful job with my hair. She is also the sweetest person I have ever met in my life. I have very hard to tame hair and I always feel like a movie star when I walk out of the salon. Coming from New York, I thought to myself, this salon looks pretty chic, new and could have potential to give me the look I'm after. Well, I was sadly mistaken! After walking out of the salon looking like bozo the clown from my awful highlight job and a haircut given to me by Edward Scissor hands I was running to the nearest hole to stick my head in. $120 bucks for what? So over rated and over priced. This salon really is pretty inside but needs to find stylist that have talent and didn't get their beautician license out of a cracker jack box! I just got my hair colored at Planet Salon on Richmond Rd. I got black on top and red as an under-light. Noah told me he would charge me for an all over color and then charge me for high-lights, a total of $105. I got neither one of those things... why charge me for them? I said OK out of desperation. He did the black on top first and bleached out the bottom part. Noah did not ask what kind of black i wanted or what red i wanted. he just told me what he was doing. Ugh... everything was fine until i realized how much he charged me... totally ridiculous. he didn't even condition my hair or clean the dye from my face.
