I am an in interior designer and always know what I want when I am remodeling or making any changes to my home. I found planet home remodeling in the penny saver and requested an estimate. The girl that answered the call indicated they work by appointment only and she would not be able to give me a price. So I didn’t really have a choice I scheduled a meeting for the next evening. The next day at 8pm I met with a guy named Issac he was such a great company and professional. He had samples and pictures of room extension he had completed previously. He knew exactly what had to be done and most definitely had style. I really liked he's ideas a hired him. He made sore the job was completed on time and smooth without any problems. I’m glad I hired Planet for my BIG project. more

This happened in San Diego, but it is the same company. I called to schedule an appointment for an estimate for stucco repair. I was asked about my husband, to which I said ""What makes you assume I have a husband?"" and refused to answer any questions about him. I got a call the day before the appointment to ""confirm for 2:00pm"" She asked whether ""my husband's name"" would be there. Clearly, she had done some research to make sure that I had a husband. She was pushy about him being there. I said he wasn't around and refused to answer any more questions about him. The next day I got a call at 12:15 stating that they had ""an inspection delay"" and needed to re-schedule the appointment to 6:00. I said that was fine. They asked if my husband would be there. I said he would not. I got the sense that the real reason for the re-schedule was they hoped that my husband would be there later in the day. I waited until 6:40, then called to see if they were still coming. They were not, and no explanation was given as to why not. The appointment was rescheduled for 3:00 the next day. Again they asked if my husband would be there and I said no. The next day at 3:30, I get a call saying they had another ""inspection delay"" and did I want to reschedule for later in the day? Again, I got the impression it was a ploy to try to get my husband at the appointment. I said no. I was irate that I had been stood up again. A few minutes later, I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was connected to the same woman who I had talked to the day before my initial appointment. She confirmed it was company policy to not schedule an appointment if both spouses were not going to be present. But three different appointments were set -- so that means it must be company policy to stand people up if both parties are not going to be present. I was furious that they wasted my time with ridiculous games instead of telling me he was required for the meeting. I said this was a discriminatory practice and that I was going to file a complaint. She basically admitted that when she initially ""confirmed"" my appointment, she knew no one was going to show up, but that to keep me from filing a complaint she could make an exception and get someone out to me for real this time. I again said no. So I call the next day and ask for the address to their corporate offices for the complaint since it isn't on their website. I was put on eternal hold. Next time I called, was given a postal annex address. Third time I was given a non-existant address. I have called a dozen more times and now it always goes to voicemail and my calls are not returned. Nor are my emails. more

Eran was GREAT!!! He visited us late 6/11/2012

Eran was GREAT!!! He visited us late around 8pm due to my and my husbandâ??s busy schedule. He was able to give us an estimate that was lower then the previous estimates we had received. We asked him if he can start the project the next day because we had a vacation coming up. He sent over his crew the nest day. They started demolishing the backyard. It only looks him ten days to replace our concrete in the back and put up a new patio cover. We had a slight issue with the material, but he was able to change the material the nest day and install what we wanted. Thanks Eran! more

Planet Home Remodeling-these people prey on the vulnerable 3/23/2012

Swindllers and scam artists!!!! When it comes to involving Planet in a sudden home repair issue, their only interest is in getting you to file a home-owners insurance claim. They try to tie in the home repair issue to an insurance claim that ""could get you a new bathroom"" or ""new kitchen"" etc. They will involve you in bilking your home-owners insurance policy for a home remodel idea that you didn't originally intend. In the meantime they bring in sub-contractors (who bill you directly for twice what a local contractor would ask) to create conditions that are more favorable to making the insurance adjusters agree to your claim. When this (usually) fails you are stuck with a half torn apart house, your original repair issue only partially fixed and an estimate from their company that is 3 to 4 times what a local contractor would charge to fix the same issue. They promise big discounts over the phone which they never deliver. Our job was to fix humming in the pipes, drywall damage due to a leaky shower drain and wax ring in an upstairs bathroom. First, Planet charged us $750 for a $74 water pressure regulator that took less than one hour to install (a $375 job at best). After we were denied our insurance claim, Planet's quote to fix these issues: replace 4 panels of drywall (with tape & texture, NO PAINT) plus repair the shower drain (I already fixed the toilet myself) $3300! I had a local licenced contractor fixt the drain for $407.81 and a local licenced drywaller repair the ceiling for $970.00 for a total of $1377.81. AND THIS WAS AFTER OVER-PAYING planet the $750 and their sub-contractor another $500 to remove moisture and mold. These people prey on the vulnerable and their respective insurance companies. If they call you to set up a quote, your better off telling them to ""go to hell""! more

Great Company!!! 9/22/2011

When we discovered that a slow leak in a drain in the kitchen wall had over time ruined most of the wall and base cabinets of our kitchen in early June we were so worried that we would be without a kitchen for the summer. Planet responded to our call immediately. They came out and surveyed the damage and proposed a plan of action including a design for what would become our new kitchen. This involved demolition of the old cabinets and re-plumbing gas, drain and water lines as well as removing the old light fixture and installing custom designed lighting. In addition, he worked with us to find just the right customized counter top, cabinets and sink. The work progressed smoothly, and was completed ahead of schedule and right on budget. Everyone that worked on the project was professional and easy to work with. The attention to detail and craftsmanship exceeded expectations. The cost was very reasonable and the results no doubt have increased the value of our home. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful and we are all ready for the summer, thanks to Planet. Sincerely, Steve and Ann more
