When they say extra cheese, they mean it 11/6/2002

This is the only pizza that gets my husband's approval, besides homemade. I introduced him to this establishment over 11 years ago, and we've gotten pizza for supper from there (and their wonderful garlic bread too!) at least once a week ever since. My son doesn't even like too many other pizzas besides theirs, too. They are one of the few places that when you request extra cheese you know you have it!! I have eaten there for over 30 years, and have watched them grow from a little shop to their current facility. After all these years their pizza and subs continue to be tops in my books. more

thats all i could think of because thats exactly what pizza johns pizza is.damn good pizza.i started eating at pizza johns about 25 yrs ago and have eaten at many other trendy more expensive pizza places along the way but the most important ingredient in my opinion is the sauce. it makes or breaks the pizza. the sauce is perfect and they always put the right amount of cheese. the prices are great and the service is always friendly.what more could you ask for....nothing in this diners opinion except a napkin or two(; more

This is definitely the BEST Pizza in Baltimore. I experienced this after being at a crab feast all afternoon, my friends and I stopped there by accident! It is just so so gooey and hot and DELICIOUS more

Pizza Johns FOREVER!! 10/24/2002

Pizza Johns has always been ""THE pizza place"" for us. It's a once a week, no questions asked, place to eat (sometimes even 2x/week!) The service is excellent and the food is superb. They have remodeled recently and plan to remodel again in the coming months and expand their dining room. This will surely give them 10's across the board Pros: the BEST pizza, casual dining, friendly staff Cons: can be crowded, not many large tables, closed on Mondays more

Best Restaurany ever to attend with family and friends. Excellent in taste for whatever you crave...pizza, subs, pastas, and deserts!! Employees are excellent in thier services. And after enjoying an excellent dinner, why not end it with 1 of many varieties of Wine selections. THE BEST FAMILY ITALIAN DINING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED !!!! more

Worth the trip 8/8/2002

Pizza John's pizza is hands down the best for a thinner crust pizza. The crust is never soggy and the toppings are always plentiful. It may be a little greasy but its nothing a few napkins cannot cure. Its worth a trip to Essex as this small business knows how to do things right- their work ethic and quality is unsurpassed. more

These guys have the best pizza around. They have a special viewing area so you can watch them make the pizza. It's very old fashioned. Everyone wheres white that works there and they have cute hats. There is just nothing like it around. Pros: Inexpensive Cons: Closed on Mondays more
