Pizza Connection

I had my first pizza ever 40-some years ago at a little place in Grove Park (Lakeland) named Jerry's Pizza. Jerry was the cook - a few years later there was some copyright snafu and they renamed to J-Burns. I moved far away right after that, and when I returned (3 years ago) there were no more J-Burns... I have been comparing pizzas everywhere to Jerry's/J-Burns, and have never found a pizza better (close: the Moose's Tooth in Anchorage, AK - close, but only close). A couple days ago I discovered that Pizza Connection was that most wonderful of pizzas - of J-Burns. I drove to Auburndale (from Lakeland) that night with five other former J-Burns addicts, and we were so psyched! One says (at the sound of the squares being cut) ""I'VE HEARD THAT BEFORE!!! Well, it was a great experience. Seems a bit silly to drive to Auburndale for pizza, but there you have it. No sense getting one anywhere else, Pizza Connection is clearly the best! more

Pizza Connection in Auburndale is the only pizza place we go to anymore! Since being recommended by a friend several years ago, we have been driving from Lakeland to Auburndale about twice a month to enjoy their delicious pizza and sandwiches! No other local pizza place compares! We try to go early, because the restaurant is always crowded - but that is a good thing, because the food could not be more fresh or delicious! Eating a Pizza Connection is a fabulous bargain for our family of five! We can consume 2 pizzas, on sandwich and 5 unlimited refill drinks, for just about $25.00! WOW! We all walk away full, many times with a "to go" box in our hands! It's a fun, casual night out, that has become part of our family routine! Go there! NOW! more

Pizza Connection is a local attraction in Auburndale. It is well known for their thin crust pizza, which happens to be great. We Love ordering pizza and subs from here. more
