Best

Authentic boston-style pizza at it's finest. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Worst

pizza was soggy and chewy, they were skimpy with the toppings

Just like I remember! 10/29/2003

Finally, a pizza just like I remember! My husband and I are from back east and when we moved here we were so disappointed in the pizza in California. The crust was soggy, tastless and greasy! I heard about D'Amore's on a local radio station and they were talking about ""the guy who ships the water from Boston"" to make his dough. I was doubtful but desperate, all set up for yet another dissapointment by some so called ""east coast pizza"". To my great surprise the pizza was just like I remembered it from the east coast. And the bonus...it's healthy?! Now you definately have got me! Since then, I've seen it listed as a weight watchers point meal and also it is getting the ratings of #1 that it so richly deserves. I tell everybody about this pizza! Pros: healthy, tastey, get what you pay for more

LABOR OF LOVE 4 SURE! 10/22/2003

I just read the reviews on this pizza and anyone who gave it less than a 10 has to be working for the competition. As if there was any! The crust is perfectly crispyand thin the way a pizza should be-not to mention less carbs. i can see why the entertainment industry uses D'amores for their movie shoots, etc. That's where I discoverd it. if you want tons of toppings instead of a perfect balance of flavors- go to Dominos-be my guest. You get what you pay for. You try shipping the water 3,000 miles. Pros: Healthy , consistent, cute owner/Available? more

Bones 8/15/2003

It is about the best pizza you can get out here. The only pizza that I know of that is better is Sams, but that is in Dobbs Ferry, New York. I haven't tried the one in Thousand Oaks, I hope it lives up to my expectations. The one improvement I might suggest is that they use fresh sausage and not the frozen commisaried kind. That would make for a truly great pizza, like Sams in Dobbs Ferry N.Y. Pros: Crust, Sauce, cheese Cons: Ambiance, parking more

*Best Pizza? 6/30/2003

You know, I actually read the reviews on the internet first, saying it was one of the top Pizza restaurants in Los Angeles, and I've lived down the street from it for four years. I have never been so disappointed by pizza as I have with Pizza Connection. I expected a ""gigantic"" large pizza just loaded with toppings, all I got was a 14"" pizza, that was slightly thicker than the paper plate I ate it on. Overall, I was really mad at myself. I could've gotten four great Little Caeser's Pizza's, but instead I got the skimpy shaft Cons: Over-Priced more

Friendly & refreshing 5/17/2003

The folks that own and work here are very nice! Sure they don't have an elegant dining room but their charm and food more than make up for that! There are cases of water shipped from Boston, MA to make the pizza and pasta from so it does taste much better than the competitions! This not another sterilized chain restaurant! They care about what they do here!! Pros: easy to find, friendly service, Great Food Cons: parking lot small more

New York can't touch it! 2/10/2003

I just moved to Manhattan and I miss my ""Healthy"" Pizza. If I miss anything about LA it's d'amore's pizza. Thin crust, amazing sauce, just the right amount of everything. Harmonic ingredients. Pricey, but worth every penny. Come to New York! Pros: Pizza Cons: Price more

satisfying 1/9/2003

I used to work at a private school where this YUMMY food was served! Jeez I was wishing I was a kid again and had Joe's pizza! I miss it! more

Skimpy Deluxe only $30Bucks 12/9/2002

Indeed! REMARKABLY Skimpy Skimpy Skimpy on the topics. I was quite surprised, as i know the owner, what a wonderful guy. And yet on one particular sunday when he may or not have been managing, i bragged about the pizza to my brother, only to have it arrive 70-80minutes later than ordered!! VERY SKIMPY on the Topics. A family large will set you back 30 Bucks!! Nice owner, but this is rip off of the century. D'Amore should offer a microscope with each pizza 2 find the toppings. Cons: no toppings, no toppings, SKIMPY toppings more
